The walk follows the mountainside passing through old vineyards on terraces and the typical Mediterranean vegetation. Along the walk you will face a stunning view, from Positano to the tip of the Peninsula and Capri, overlooking the sea. The path passes by small hamlets and arrives to Positano along a typical stairway of the area. From Nocelle: Distance : 7.5km Details: Nocelle ‐ Nocelle Difficulty: EE (hard) Path type: mule tracks, paths on stone and dirt paths From Bomerano: Distance : 5.2km Details: Bomerano ‐ Bomerano Difficulty: E (medium) Path type: mule tracks, paths on stone and dirt paths (we start from Bomerano and back to Bomerano, this option is longer by car but less walking) Botany: mediterranean scrub, heather, euphorbia, true myrtle, orchids Fauna: birds of prey (kestrel, peregrine falcon, buzzard, raven, sea gull,..) migratory and sedentary birds and insects, butterflies , reptiles (lizards, harmless snakes). I was born and raised in Positano, on the Amalfi Coast. I will take you with me to discover the path that everyone knows as "Path of Gods": one of the most spectacular views in southern Italy. I will show you, however, that this was much more for my ancestors: one of the pedestrian arteries that gave access to property and people before the construction of the road that connects Sorrento to Vietri. In this walk there is the possibility to meet local farmers and breeders enjoying genuine products. We will talk about the local flora and fauna, the use of wild herbs in the culinary and phytotherapeutic fields. The leitmotiv of the walk will be the complete opening of the senses to the perception of the surrounding environment, the deepening of the traditions and customs of my country.
