1. Luxor Temple is a large ancient Egyptian temple complex located in the city of Luxor. It was built during the New Kingdom period, around the 14th century BCE, and was dedicated to the god Amun. The temple consists of several structures and courtyards, with the main entrance featuring an Egyptian-style pylon, or gateway. One of the most interesting features of the temple is the avenue of Sphinxes that once linked it to the nearby Karnak Temple. Luxor Temple also features several impressive statues, including a massive seated statue of Ramses II and an obelisk that was originally paired with another now located in Paris.
