1. Villa Melzi Gardens, also known as Giardini di Villa Melzi, is a botanical garden located in Bellagio, Italy on the shore of Lake Como. It is situated next to the Villa Melzi d’Eril, a historic neoclassical-style villa built in the early 19th century for Duke Francesco Melzi d’Eril, a former Vice-President of the Italian Republic under Napoleon.

The gardens were designed in the English style by Luigi Canonica and Francesco Melzi d’Eril himself, with the help of architect Giocondo Albertolli, in the early 1800s. They include a variety of exotic trees and plants, as well as several monuments and statues.

One of the main highlights of the gardens is the long avenue of lime trees, which leads from the entrance to the lakefront. Visitors can also enjoy exploring the shaded paths, admiring the views of the lake, and taking pictures with the statue of the fallen angel, a dramatic sculpture by Antonio Canova.

2. The Villa Melzi Gardens are open to visitors from March to November, from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm. The phone number for the ticket office is +39 031 952 168.

3. The entrance fee is 7 Euros for adults and 4 Euros for children (ages 4-14). Children under 4 can enter for free. Guided tours are available for an additional fee. The gardens can be reached by foot from the center of Bellagio or by car/bus from other nearby towns. Boat tours of the lake also stop at the Villa Melzi Gardens.
