1. Australian Butterfly Sanctuary is the largest butterfly flight aviary and exhibit in Australia. It is located in Kuranda, Cairns in the Tropical North region of Queensland. The sanctuary is home to over 2,000 butterflies representing 150 different species. Visitors can experience the magnificent beauty of the butterflies up close as they fly around the aviary. There are also daily guided tours and educational talks about the life cycle of butterflies and their importance in the ecosystem.

The sanctuary is easily accessible by car or public transport from Cairns and is just a short walk from the Kuranda Scenic Railway station and the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.
