VIP Bavarian Peaks & Salt Mine Journey: Salzburg's Must-See

It was great fun. Glad we went. Leopold , our guide was the best part. Shared his knowledge and experience with us all the way to the mine and on the way back. Even gave us tips on Berchtesgaden as to where to go / do and eating establishments. Very personable and friendly with very good English.

The visit of the salt mine is a great experience. However, if you don't speak German, you'll only have the audioguide. So don't expect the "little more info" you can get when you're taking a guided tour. However, you get all the key info! Note that you can't take photos through the de mine. The guide in the bus was also super knowledgeable and funny. I recommend this tour.

We chose this tour because, well, how many chances will you get to tour a working Salt mine? Pretty cool to be 130 meters below ground level and learn how the salt is mined. The slides were fun. Leopold, our tour guide, kept us entertained during the bus ride. You'll also have about an hour for lunch/shopping in Berchtesgarden before heading back.

A must if you have the time. I thought it may be kind of touristy and it kind of was because that is just not our normal gig. But with that said it was totally worth it. We got to see a bunch of stuff we wouldn’t have got to see otherwise. The Salt mines were the obvious hit of the day and very cool. Our guide Phillip was awesome. Very friendly and funny. If you have the time, do this tour! Totally worth it

I loved the slides and just wish we could have taken photos in the lake area. It was a lot of fun and we enjoyed it

It’s as fun from start to finish, dressed in our overalls and wooden slides to zip down. It was fascinating to learn the history and processes for salt mining.

Interesting. Few bits of fakers. But generally authentic. Remainder to make up the required number of chzracters

Very informative as well as fun. People who worked there were friendly, responsible, and well-spoken. We would not hesitate to go back.

This tour was actually a 3 star the slides were fun but this was compatible to Its a small world ride at Disney World. Give me the close proximity to the Eagles nest the 2 could have been combined and made the trip to the same location more barnacle. The Panorama Tour company is very organized and the guides and bus drivers are excellent 5 star all the way

We had a fun morning in the Salzburg mines. The translator machines didn't work unless you got super close to the meeting place with the guide. With 40+ people, it made it difficult in some of the rooms. People with disabilities or hip/knee/back issues should be aware you can't do the miner slides (this included my wife) but you can walk around the mine. A few extra minutes in each exhibit would have been appreciated (again due the size of the group, we didn't always get a chance to see everything before being ushered on).
