Lisbon to Sintra: Majestic Wheels Tour & Palace Wonders

We are thankful to Mauro for an amazing half day tour! He picked us up on time and was able to accommodate us with 3 kids. He was very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot from him. We enjoyed exploring Pena palace and other stops, our favourite was Cabo da Roca. This tour does not include lunch however Mauro picked up some local treats which was much appreciated and worth trying! Thank you for everything, great memories :) I would recommend this tour, it was easy to book and confirm.

Mauro did a great job explaining the history of the area, he was flexible and creative. The weather was pretty bad (rain and a short hail storm!) but our guide stayed positive and offered great options.

Great tour guide. Unfortunately didn’t get to see everything due to strikes but we ended up with a more customised tour which was excellent.

Mauro was a fun, informative Tour Guide and we visited some fantastic places as well as dined on authentic Portuguese Cuisine. I would happily recommend this Tour for anyone wanting a relaxed outing and knowledge of Portugal

We had a wonderful time with Mauro, who was very accommodating for our group of 4 that included a toddler. He was communicative the day before our tour, and was early to pick us up from our airbnb the day of. His van is roomy, clean, and comfy, and had a carseat and/or booster seat ready for us. He let us do the day at our own pace, stopped for travesseiros and queijadas at our request, and purchased our Pena Palace shuttle tickets for us. He taught us about Portuguese culture along the way, and was just a delight to chat with. Reimbursing him for tickets can be done via cash or Paypal.

Jose took our family of seven on an all day tour. It was wonderful. I would recommend Jose and Lisbon on Wheels for anyone who wants to see and learn about the local tradition and customs. He took us to the Peña Palace early to beat the lines which we did. He took us to a great local restaurant for lunch and then to a local winery for wine tasting. Along the way he stopped at several really fascinating places. He was interesting, informative and funny. Most if all he was part of our family for the day. This was the final full day of our two week European vacation and we all say it was the best. Thanks again Jose
