Athens Unveiled: Unexpected Local Secrets & Hidden Gems

Great tour! Covers a lot of ground, and all areas we would've otherwise missed when exploring Athens independently. Our guide Nikos provided an excellent overview of Greek everyday life as well as how Athens developed into the city it is today. We loved this tour!

This walking tour of Athens was absolutely excellent. Our guide, Andreas, was both friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, bringing the city’s rich history to life with engaging stories and insights. Nicholas was awesome and a pleasure to spend 4 hours with. The tour really was a great orientation to Athens in a very holistic sense. We left with a greater appreciation for the culture and diversity of Greece. There were only 5 people in our group which made it very personal. We had an opportunity to get to know the people that accompanied us. The pace of the tour was perfect and we were able to digest the insights that Nicholas shared. Excellent 4 hour walking tour with a coffee break. Guide Nikos (sp?) was knowledgable, personable and engaging. The route makes clever use of places and artefacts you can see for free (e.g. Hadrian’s Aqueduct inside Zara). Nikos also takes time to talk to you - so the tour is less of a broadcast lecture more an informed, directed conversation. Can recommend.

This tour really helped us understand the different neighbourhoods of Athens and so know which we’d like to go back to for more time ourselves

Antigone was very knowledgeable and we throughly enjoyed our long walk to the 5 different neighborhoods seen on our tour. Our small group got to experience places that you don’t see in larger tour groups so we didn’t stand out as easily as other tour groups. I would highly recommend!
