1. Alfama is a historic district in Lisbon, Portugal, known for its narrow streets, colorful buildings, and traditional architecture. It is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Lisbon and has a rich history that can be traced back to the Roman era. The district is characterized by its steep hills and is home to several popular tourist attractions, such as the São Jorge Castle, the Lisbon Cathedral, and the Fado Museum. 2. Alfama does not have specific working hours as it is a residential and commercial district. However, some of the tourist attractions within the area have their own working hours. For example, the São Jorge Castle is open every day from 9 am to 9 pm (with the last entrance at 8 pm). The Lisbon Cathedral is open every day from 9 am to 7 pm (with the last entrance at 6:45 pm). 3. As Alfama is located in central Lisbon, it is easily accessible by public transportation. The area is served by several bus and tram routes, as well as the Lisbon metro. Visitors can purchase a 24-hour ticket for Lisbon’s public transportation system, which costs €6.40 and allows for unlimited travel on buses, trams, and the metro. Tickets can be purchased at any metro station or online through the official public transportation website.

Ideal for those who have little time. We visit the old part of the city, exploring Alfama, Graça, Bairro Alto and Chiado. A tour full of history, culture and amazing views.
Classic Half-Day (4H):
A more complete experience, where besides the historic center, Bairro Alto and Chiado, we continue to Belém — a monumental area on the river, where you can see the famous Monastery of Jerónimos, Tower of Belém and Padrão dos Descubrimentos.
PREMIUM Full-Day (8H):
The most complete tour! Includes the entire 4-hour tour and more. After visiting Belém, we crossed the river Tagus by boat (with the guide and the tuk tuk on board) to Trafaria. Then we explore genuine, non-touristic areas such as Cacilhas, where we have lunch at a local restaurant (lunch is not included), and we continue to the charming village of Cova do Vapor, between the river and the sea.
