1. Maison Molinard is a perfume house that was established in 1849 in Grasse, a small town near Nice, France. It was founded by Molinard, a family of perfumers who had already been in the business for several generations. The company is one of the oldest perfume houses in France and has a long-standing reputation for creating high-quality fragrances. Today, the company is still family-run and operates out of its headquarters in Grasse, as well as a boutique in the heart of Nice.
The boutique in Nice is located on Rue Saint-Francois de Paule, just a few blocks from the Promenade des Anglais. The interior of the shop is elegant and sophisticated, with black and white decor and vintage perfume bottles on display. Visitors can browse the range of fragrances, which includes classic scents like Habanita and Nirmala, as well as newer fragrances like Les Fleurs and Les Senteurs.
Visitors can also book a workshop or a personalized consultation with one of Molinard’s in-house experts, who can guide them through the process of creating a custom fragrance. These sessions are popular with both locals and tourists, and offer a unique opportunity to learn about the art and science of perfumery.
2. The boutique is open seven days a week, from 10am to 7pm. The phone number for the shop is +33 (0)4 93 16 24 12.
3. There is no admission fee to enter the boutique, but workshops and personalized consultations are available for a fee. The boutique is easily accessible by public transportation, with several bus and tram stops within walking distance. There is also a public parking garage nearby at Place Magenta.
