1. Pawon Temple is a small Buddhist temple located in the village of Mendut, Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia. The temple was built during the Sailendra dynasty, around the 8th century. The architecture of the temple resembles that of the nearby Borobudur temple, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Interestingly, it is believed that the temple was used as a part of ritual processions during the journey from Borobudur temple to Mendut temple. The temple also features intricate carvings and reliefs depicting various Buddhist deities and stories.

The temple is accessible by car or motorcycle from Yogyakarta, as it is located about 40 km away from the city. Additionally, there are regular public buses that connect Yogyakarta to Magelang, and from there, visitors can take a local minibus to reach the temple.
