Just recently got back from weekend City break in Rome for my 60th Birthday And feel the need to shout from the rooftops about a surprise experience secretly arranged by my wife Being a huge fan of the 1969 Michael Caine Movie " The Italian Job" my wife contacted Luca from Mini Tours Roma to book a 3 hour night time tour incorporating the historic sights of Rome all in beautifully restored in 2 x classic vintage Mini Coopers Luca and Danilo ( Drivers ) were very passionate and knowledgeable and adding humour along the way and multiple stops for photographs some which I have included including the heist of the Mona Lisa portrait true Italian Job style. Luca provided soft drink and water refreshments and a goody bag with hats And even ensured we got a reservation.from one of his recommended restaurants at the end of the tour. I strongly recommend this tour for anyone interested in a different spin and a love for either the Italian Job and Classic Minis. We met as strangers and left as friends. It was highly enjoyable, great fun and Luca was a super guide . He was flexible and skipped things which we had already visited and was sensitive to the moment when our group became tired and didn’t really want to get out and walk around any more. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of Rome with lots of local “gossipy” bits included. The original Mini is tiny but it still managed to accommodate 3 adults along with the driver/ guide.

Our first evening in Rome was truly unforgettable. My wife and I went on a private nighttime tour with Luca, cruising through the city’s enchanting streets in a classic Mini. As a seventh-generation Roman, Luca’s knowledge and clear passion for his city added a unique depth to our experience. His Mini allowed us to navigate through Rome’s narrow alleys, bringing us up close to iconic landmarks like the Colosseum, Piazza Navona, Castel Sant’Angelo, Keyhole, and so many neighborhoods. It is the perfect Tour to take on the first night. He knew I was a lawyer and toured by Rome’s amazing courthouse. I would have never known this was a courthouse - the most elegant I have ever seen (see photos). We even enjoyed panoramic views of the Forum and St. Peter’s and stopped for a drink at a local spot with a speakeasy through a closet door at the end of the night. Exploring Rome by night for hours, with its illuminated monuments and vibrant atmosphere, was amazing. Rome is so amazing at night. He has 5 Minis so he can accommodate larger groups. This tour was a perfect blend of history, adventure, and local charm with the best guide ever. Cheers to Luca.

Luca is the best!! Honestly, our favorite part of Rome. He’s a fantastic entertainer and an even better person. Just a delight to be around. We can’t recommend this enough, I’ve already told all of my friends and family.
