It was a great time out and our guide Shun was so informative, kind and friendly. The experience of going through the quiet neighborhood to arrive at the serene scenery of the forest at the back end of the Fushimi Inari was truly amazing to see. I highly recommend going on this tour.

A unique experience hiking Fushimi Inari around trails and shrines that most people don't see. I had a wonderful guide who was knowledgeable and tailored the experience to my abilities and interests. I saw shrines i wouldn't have of I had gone on my own, and went up paths I would have got lost on. I can't believe I made it up all three peaks of Mt Inari, and saw a bamboo grove with nobody else around. Thank you for a truly magical trip for this solo traveller - would highly recommend to everyone, but especially if you are in Kyoto in your own! Would recommend wearing hiking boots or trail shoes.

This is the best way to experience fushimi inari. Josh was such a great host and the hidden route gives you the best views and less crowds.

Exceptional tour and guide Tsukito was amazing. Without him and this tour the experience would be hugely different and nowhere near as good. It is a must to do.

A really lovely way to spend the morning. Matt was a very friendly and informative guide who looked after us well. A very special place to visit. Definitely a good idea to start from the back entrance to the shrine - much more peaceful than the main entrance.

Thank you Usuke! Super fun tour guide and was great with everyone including the family that came along. Great shortcut up to a non-busy area of the hike. Make. Make sure you're prepared, it's a bit of a moderate hike!

Josh was great He was very knowledgeable and helpful. The price was affordable. We got to see some exclusive area areas and he took lots of pictures for us.

- Public transportation options are available nearby
- Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
- Not recommended for pregnant travelers
- Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- This hike is not super difficult, approximately 7km in total. But it is not a simple walk and does take some effort. We would not recommend it for people who have trouble walking or are not in a regular condition. We take regular stops and can do extra stops if needed.
- As the ground can be slippery, you need to come wearing shoes with good grip.
- There may be mosquitoes and bugs as the group will hike in the mountain, so we strongly recommend to wear long sleeve shirt and long pants.
- The itinerary for this tour includes some locations that are not accessible by a wheelchair or stroller.
- Summer in Japan is very hot and humid, so we recommend that you bring water and wear a hat to prevent heat stroke.
