Epic Datong Day: Yungang Grottoes & Hanging Temple by Bullet Train

We are a couple from Bulgaria. The trip was amazing. The Yungang Grottoes and Hanging temple are very beautiful. Our guide is George. He knows English very well, he is very informative and kind. The firm gave us a breakfast. The lunch is delicious. The driver drove safety and careful. We'll recommend this trip to our friends.

The guide was very thorough and explained everything, and the caves and cliff-hanging temples were very impressive. Lunch was delicious .

Altogether very smooth trip with very good information and clear instructions! Food was amazing and the guide happily answered all our questions and gave good insights to the attractions.

This tour was planned extremely well and everyone involved was punctual and professional. As soon as I booked, I received messages from Cathy who booked us the train tickets. She was very pleasant and helpful. On the day of the tour, we were picked up from the hotel, dropped off at the train and given breakfast, and then picked up from the train with an English speaking guide, Andy, and driver Mr. Li. Both were a pleasure to spend time with on the tour to see the grottos (YunGang caves) and the mountains (hanging temple). We were taken to lunch in between which was delicious and native to the region. I highly recommend booking this tour as it is all planned out for you and would be a little difficult to do on your own as a foreigner. Worth every penny! Thank you very much.

I highly recommend this tour! We had an amazing time. Our guide Andy was very knowledgeable and able to answer all the questions I asked. He also took great pictures! Our driver Mr. Li was always right on time and the car was very clean and comfortable. The places we went were beautiful and the booking was very easy! Andy was able to get us around quick and avoid some of the crowds when possible as well. The tour picked us up from the hotel, helped with the train, and provided a delicious local lunch, as well as a breakfast bag. Definitely book this tour, you won’t regret it!

You can rely on the organizers. Everything as in the description. The driver was waiting for us at the hotel. The car was new and very comfortable. The guide tried very hard and took us for an exceptionally good lunch.

We decided to travel out of Beijing this time and chanced upon this trip to Datong. The agency was very meticulous and provided us with breakfast as our rapid train trip was very early in the morning. We met George our English speaking guide at Datong who gave very detailed explanation of the Grotto and their carvings and also visited the hanging temple in Hengshan and the biggest dragon screen in China. It was a very long day drip as each train ride to and from Datong took 2 hours each. The weather was unpredictable and it snowed while we were there. So be prepared for inclement weather.The agency person in charge Cathy whom I arranged the trip with was very caring and checked with me throughout the trip to check that we were OK. All in all my husband and me were happy with the itinerary and service provided!

The views were amazing. We took so many photos!. The food was very good. The tours quide Cathy and Jin was fantastic and the driver the same. I recommend this tour .

This tour was very well organized from pick up from hotel to the train station. When arriving the tour guide Gorge and driver were already there waiting for us when we got off the train. This tour was amazing. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Beijing. Bring good walking shoes. Our tour guide Gorge was awesome, he also takes good pictures. Overall best part of china so far.
