Unforgettable Valencia: Old Town Wine & Tapas in 11th Century Gem

Our guide Boglarka was the best! She was so sweet and engaging! She gave us a lot of history along the way, showed us great spots, and then provided great wines and tapas to end our time together. Boglarka has been very helpful in answering my questions about food culture and restaurants after the tour. Just one minor complaint, and it wasn’t the guide’s fault, but 6 participants were late, so by the time we got to the Central Market, we didn’t had much time. Everyone needed to use the restroom, so by the time you got back from using the restroom, it was time to go. We didn’t really get experience the market at all.

Our guide, Boglarka, was wonderful! She was warm and kind, answered a bunch of questions for us. She took us on a great tour of the central historical area, and provided a lot of history. It was a great introduction to Valencia. The tasting portion of the tour was fantastic! The wines and tapas were soooo good! We had a great time.

What a great evening. Informative walk round the old town with our host Emily and then a tapas feast with matching wines. And an added bonus of a great group of people. Thoroughly enjoyed it abd highly recommend!

This tapas and tour experience was the absolute highlight of our trip to Valencia. Dani was an outstanding host. His tour of the Old Town was fascinating, full of history and local insights. The next day, I even retraced the same route and shared what we’d learned with our teenage kids, which shows just how engaging and memorable it was. The food and drinks were exceptional. Dani explained each pairing perfectly, detailing how the regional ingredients and wines complemented one another. It was both delicious and educational. Our group was small, I think about twelve people in all. It was a diverse group, with fellow travellers from the UK, USA, Canada, and the Netherlands. It was a good mix of ages, I’d say that the youngest couple were aged in their early twenties and the oldest were around mid fifties. Everyone was friendly and conversational, which made the evening even more enjoyable. All in all, it was a fantastic experience made truly special by Dani’s knowledge, warmth, and passion for Valencia.

This was a fabulous tour, combining a good overview of the historic centre of Valencia (ciutat vella) with a very tasty tapas dinner, paired with 5 different wines, all well chosen. Our guide, Emily, was superb. Very knowledgeable and bubbling with enthusiasm.
