Our second visit to Wildlife Habitat and Breakfast with the Birds. Primarily, this is a well cared for home for the birds and animals and the staff are exceptional, VERY friendly and knowledgeable. It is obvious that Habitat staff truly care for their charges and share much love with them. The Habitat areas are all very clean and well maintained. All birds and animals are well fed and care has been taken to allow them to exist in a natural environment. A must-see for Port Douglas visitors.

Although small and we had mobility issues they were very accommodating. Lunch was make your own burger bun and drink as included in the tour. It was very nice I enjoyed it. As for the koalas so sweet but tired. Also saw kangaroos and a myriad of birds. Great souvenir shop also.

We had a private tour with Callie. She was amazing. She seemed to know EVERYTHING about so many different animals. She knew them by name! The whole facility is beautiful and you can tell the animals are well cared for. We also had lunch (and a bird named Elvis...I think was his name) came to eat some of our lunch.. I hope you go and have a tour!

Fabulous place to visit. Small and intimate. Really recommend. Birds flying around, crocs, koalas and kangaroos. Just great!

Had a great day at wildlife habitat with the family, the experience is great for young kids. We were able to get up close and interactive with the beautiful wildlife and there was lots of entertainment for the kids. The staff were also very friendly , each time a staff member walked past they greeted with you a smile and were very happy to answer any questions we had about the animals. Highly recommend as an activity in port Douglas especially if travelling with kids

Really enjoyed the koala exhibit, nocturnal habitat, variety of birds, wandering emu, wandering wallabies. Kangaroos and Cassowaries were not very photogenic. All in all, a pleasant few hours spent there

We went in the afternoon - but I would recommend going earlier to watch all the animal presentations. It was a great day out, especially with our toddler as he loved feeding the kangaroos and seeing the animals up close.

Great activity if you haven’t seen any wildlife via your own hikes, drives or animal specific tours. You get to see most of the Australian animals.

It was a great day out. The bird aviary was amazing. Felt like we were walking through Jurassic Park 3, but with slightly smaller flying creatures ;) The zoo itself was quite a small zoo, but had a range of animals. We did the Swim with the Salties which was an amazing experience! You do get up close to them in the viewing area, but being in the water is another level. The crocs came right up to the glass and it was amazing being that close but surviving the encounter. The staff were amazing with our booking as well, as we had booked separate sessions because we had young children with us, and they made the whole experience better than we expected. The only small thing is there is only toilets at the front area, and none towards the back, which meant there were several trips back to the beginning with our youngs ones before we had to get back and start in the other areas we hadn't been to yet, but overall, amazing place and experience!
