Iceland's South Coast Odyssey: Waterfalls, Black Sands & Glaciers

As a school teacher, I have never felt so much trust and care from a tour guide and company than was given by Ritchie on our 4 night stay in Iceland with 35 teenagers on a school trip from the UK. The knowledge Ritchie shared with the children must have been honed over hours and hours of his own research - every moment of our three day tour was full of incredible stories, insights and incredible observations from Ritchie. I mean this when I say Ritchie is the best tour guide I have had the pleasure to work with. Aside from his knowledge, the thing that stood the most was his genuine care for our group and our children. He went above and beyond every single day to ensure the care of enjoyment of our children - from ensuring we didn’t miss an incredible display of the Northern Lights, to spending hours of his own time searching for lost items on our coach. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and in fact when we next come to Iceland for our school trip in 2028, I hope to insist he is our guide. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. We miss you already Ritchie! Hopefully see you in 2028.

Excellent tour of the south of Iceland , seen many great sights . The guide Peter and the driver were brilliant . Perfect pace for the day . Highly recommended

We were picked up at city hall, the driver got out and called everyone’s name and made sure we were all present before leaving. That bus took us to a central depot where we got on the tour bus. The bus was comfortable and had wifi and USB charging ports. The guide filled the time between sites with some trivia and history of Iceland. It was overcast and had light rain at times, but we got so wet with the mist coming off the 2 waterfalls and pounding ocean at the black sand beach we didn’t notice. Each stop was beautiful and the guide gave us good preparation tips at each stop. He kept a close eye on us at the beach where the waves were rough and unpredictable. My favorite stop was the final waterfall where you can walk all the way around. Be aware you will get wet and at the glacier it gets very cold as you approach, so dress accordingly! It was foggy on the way home and the bus driver did a great job getting us home safely.

Unforgettable South Coast Adventure with an Amazing Guide! Our South Coast tour from Reykjavik was absolutely incredible from start to finish! The scenery itself was breathtaking — black sand beaches, stunning waterfalls, and glaciers that looked like something out of a movie — but what truly made the experience special was our guide. They were extremely knowledgeable about Icelandic history, geology, and local legends, sharing fascinating stories and fun facts throughout the journey. You could tell they were passionate about their country and genuinely wanted everyone to have a great time. The pacing of the trip was perfect, with plenty of time for photos and breaks, and the guide even gave us great tips for local food spots and hidden gems along the route. The bus was comfortable, the schedule ran smoothly, and we never felt rushed. I would absolutely recommend this tour (and especially this guide!) to anyone visiting Reykjavik. It’s the perfect way to experience Iceland’s beauty in one unforgettable day!

This was an amazing all day tour to beautiful waterfalls, beaches, and included time for shopping, lunch. Out tour guide, Mr. G, Gunther, was the best, telling stories of growing up in Iceland, folk lore, and history of the land and people. He even sang a lovely Icelandic tune! Mr G was funny and very engaging, teaching us simple Icelandic words/terms. Definitely recommend!

An incredible first full day in Iceland. Our guide Inca and driver Robert were awesome. We always knew best paths and places to go, timing and next steps. Everything went so smoothly and they brought us great weather too! This is a long but full day and we saw so many of the iconic places on the south coast. Highly recommend especially if you have a relatively short stay in Iceland.

Can't miss this tour if you visit Iceland! Leifur and Tommi were fantastic, knowledgeable and fun. The scenery was breathtaking from start to finish.

Wonderful experience, absolutely stunning views of the waterfalls, mountains, glacier, farms and more. The driver and guide -Leifer and Tommi- are very kind and super friendly which made the trip even more enjoyable. Tommi is very knowledgeable and we enjoyed learning from him, about history, geography and culture of Iceland. The trip was long but extremely enjoyable, it was very well organised and executed. Totally worth it!! I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Went solo, and I’m very thankful I choose this tour. Perfect amount of time at each stop, I had many opportunities to charge, eat and drink. It was a nice bus with big windows, they also kept it warm during the entire ride. I had the sweetest guide, Leifur, and if you’re norwegian this is someone who you can easily talk norwegian with :-) Tommi drove very comfortably and was also very nice
