Medellín's Pulse: Private Comuna 13 Art & Rebirth Tour

It was amazing and fun, David was excellent tour guide, patient, pending of what we need and want, took a lot of nice pictures and very creative.

We had an amazing time at Medellin Comuna 13, our tour guide Luis was the best, he was very knowledgeable, friendly and super flexible with us (group of 20). I rate this trip 10 out of 10. If you get a chance to come make sure you book with supertoursmedellin and request Luis.

What a cool way to see Medellín! Our guide was Mateo, and he did a great job explaining different parts of the city, taking us on a trip in a metro cable car, and showing us all around the murals and history of Communa 13. Very cool experience, you’ve got it check it out!

I would definitely recommend this tour to explore Medellin. Our guide Daniel was great! He drove very carefully, was very professional and courteous.It was very easy to book via trip advisor and communication with company’s rep Carolina was impeccable. Just wow!!! The absolute best service from Carolina coordinating next say booking, fitting in to my stop over time frame, arranging pickup and drop off from the airport, ensuring I have all the ducks in a row with Coronapp and helping avoid curfew limitations! Truly amazingly caring person! And then there was Luis, the tour guide, funny engaging knowledgeable. He recreated the itinerary to show the best of Medellin above and beyond the expectations. My family and I went on this tour as part of our trip to Colombia. It was an absolutely awesome tour and our tour guide Marcelo was fantastic. He also knows a ton of history regarding the City of Medellin and Comuna 13. I usually try and stay away from guided tours but this one was fantastic. Also, if you love art like I do bring extra money because you will definitely see some original pieces of hand painted art that will floor you!

That is a good trip. However, visiting Medellín is not on my cards anymore. I was walking in Envigado and a policeman kicked muy ankle as i passed two of them. Clearly they looked for trouble. Reported that to the nearest Cía. Was told to wrote out a statement to take to the main police station. When i arrived there, I was told there is no one to take my complaint. I went there early the next morning and got a signed document back. However, nothing happened to the case. I wrote to the office of the Alcalde and was promised that i will get follow up information. That never happened. My opinión is that no one is safe in Medellín. If police can attact citizens. However, comuna 13 is a must to visit in Medellín.

I had a wonderful time with Luis who was my tour guide for the Comuna 13. He spoke very good English and drove well. He had a broad range of knowledge about Medellin. He is passionate about sharing his culture and genuinely cares about me learning about it. He made my experience in Medellin a positive one. He made me feel very comfortable from the beginning to the end of the tour. In one of the previously dangerous place in Colombia, Comuna 13, he ensured that I was safe. I felt at ease touring the neighborhood as he dispeled the negative stereotypes of the area.
