Marrakech Sunrise: Hot Air Balloon, Atlas Views & Camel Ride

Amazing experience - Not to be missed. Ballon ride, breakfast, camels - a once in a lifetime experience

We loved this! It is a very early start and there is a bit of waiting time at the start until they get the balloons in place and up. We were collected on time by our driver Walked and taken to the first stop. We were given a roissant and coffee/tea/hot chocolate while we waited. We then got on the balloon. What an incredible experience! Our pilot, Sancho, a Spaniard who has been flying in hot air balloons since he was a child, was so enthusiastic and explained various things while we waited to go up. The flight itself was amazing with gorgeous views of the sunrise. The whole sky was dotted with balloons. After we landed we had a plentiful traditional breakfast all together in a camp. We were then back in the mini bus and taken for our camel ride at the palm groves. This was our second camel ride so we knew what to expect when the camel first stands up! We were given some traditional outfits to wear too, which was fun! The camels were calm and good natured and the guides led them around the grove. We had photos taken of course! We were then returned to the collection point. It was all done really well, run in a timely fashion and I would definitely recommend.

I booked this months in advance to get the date I needed. I followed the instructions and contacted one day before to confirm I was here and wanting to go on the trip. I got a WhatsApp back to confirm. Pick up was on time and driver super helpful. Nice group of people and drove outside into a desert area. Greeted by friendly hosts with tea, coffee and fresh croissants. Then drove to the hot air balloons, amazing experience (I have been hot air ballooning before), lovely crew and super professional, our woman captain was amazing!! Great trip with memorable views, then down for a Berber breakfast and onto the camel ride. I enjoyed it even though I was really doing it for my 10 year old. Life long memories, so worth it and very friendly and professionally run!! Do it!!

The hot air balloon ride itself was absolutely amazing — a truly breathtaking experience and one of the highlights of our trip! The pilot was fantastic — professional, friendly, and made us feel completely safe while giving us an unforgettable view of the desert sunrise. However, the ground operations left a lot to be desired. The start of the tour was quite chaotic — there was little organization, groups got separated, and passengers were loaded and unloaded from the balloons multiple times without clear communication. It felt unnecessarily hectic and confusing, which took away from what could have been a perfectly smooth experience. Once we were finally in the air, though, it was pure magic. I’d definitely recommend a balloon ride in Marrakesh, but hope that this company improves the coordination and structure of the ground crew to match the quality of the flight.

Pick up was early which is fine but once we got there we just sat around for over an hour. Would be great to have just been picked up later. Also had no communication despite sending 3 messages through Viator and another message through WhatsApp. Only got a reply the night before which was stressful since I wasn’t sure they were coming. The actual balloon ride was fantastic. Camels are basically a photo op (just goes around in a circle) Worth doing but I’d skip the camels next time

Brilliant experience. Had an early start to the day. Pick up was on time (time was agreed previous day). Took us to a lovely area for tea/coffee before setting off for our balloon. Our captain was called Sancho. An experienced pilot since a child. So no safety fears whatsoever ever. Had 8 people in our basket. Wasn’t overcrowded. Spectacular views all around. Had a soft landing as well. We were then taken for a lovely breakfast. After that, went for a camel ride. The next excursion I did. Only bit of advice, it’s cold that time of the morning especially out in the mountains. Layer up

Amazing balloon ride When writing this I had in the back of my mind how amazing the experience was. My 4 stars not 5 was given due to the accuracy of the tours description. We were collected at 5.15 am and not 6.30 as stated. Coffee and pastry around a fire was great. No need to be collected before 6. My main point for 4 stars was the tour stated maximum of 16 people in the basket. There were 20 of us and squashed in. The pilot Hamid was good and I didn’t feel unsafe at all. We were in the air around 35 minutes and not 90 as advertised. Overall a great trip but more accuracy is needed.

What an incredible experience! The whole trip with Marrakech by Air was so well organised from start to finish. Everything ran smoothly, and the team made sure we felt safe and comfortable throughout. The hot air balloon ride itself was absolutely mesmerising — watching the sunrise over the desert, with dozens of other colourful balloons floating in the distance, was one of the most breathtaking sights I’ve ever seen. The ascent was extremely smooth, and the descent was just as gentle, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Floating above the landscape in the soft morning light was truly magical and something I’ll never forget. After landing, we enjoyed a traditional Berber breakfast, which was extremely tasty. Everything was fresh, flavoursome, and the perfect way to complement the morning’s adventure. The camel ride afterwards was a lovely addition, giving a fun and authentic perspective of the desert landscape from closer to the ground. It was relaxed, safe, and allowed us to take in more of the stunning scenery at a slower pace — a perfect way to round off the experience. Overall, the combination of the well-organised trip, the breathtaking balloon ride, delicious breakfast, and enjoyable camel ride made this a day I’ll never forget. A truly magical experience and an absolute must-do in Marrakech! 🌅

Pick up is early but the drive to the balloons was fun. Breakfast was OK but the balloon ride was fantastic. And the camel ride was also a great experience. We'll done

The early start was definitely worth it. The pre flight snack and coffee was lovely and the post flight breakfast was huge. The flight was incredible. All the staff were friendly and helpful. This was a great experience
