Breathtaking Transfagarasan E-Bike: Conquer Romania's Epic Road

Andrei our guide was amazing!! He picked us up at or location and we drove to the mountains. The e-bikes were incredible and well maintained. The e-bikes made the ride wonderful and very doable up the somewhat steep climb. We stopped for hot chocolate, coffee and tea at the peak of the mountain which overlooked the Balea Lake. We proceeded down the Transfagarasan Highway which was incredibly exhilarating. I highly recommend this tour as it is a tour of a lifetime!!

Andrei was an incredible tour guide. Very informative on the country/region. Tour date was on October 8, but due to heavy snowfall Andrei offered to move it to the next day. It was the first heavy snowfall of the year and unusually early, so the road was closed to cars, meaning we had the road to ourselves. We had to walk the last 2-3km with our bikes because the snow was too deep. Andrei offered to stay with the bikes whilst I go up to the lake. However, we both persisted despite the cold and low visibility conditions. A well-deserved meal and hot drink was consumed once at the lake. The downhill trip was much easier and the clouds had started to clear up, offering incredible views! Andrei was also able to drop me off at the bus station on the way back. Many thanks Andrei. An incredible experience and I hope to come back one day.

Last summer I've done Route 66 and now couldn't resist Transfagarasan!! Started off early from Brasov and it was 50 minutes before we joined the drive down Cartisoara to Curtea de Arges. What a drive!! Unfortunately I had a miserable kid in the backseat who got alive only when he came across the Bears on the road - we've counted more than a dozen! I've thoroughly enjoyed the drive - just fabulous. Ignore the whining kids, just go for it, it's once in a lifetime you'll get to drive down the Transfagasaran!!

Andrei was an excellent guide. It was rainy and cold and we sadly didn’t get to see much but it was still an excellent day!

Absolutely breathtaking adventure! Andrei was a very good guide and told is a lot about the country and culture during the drive to the tour. He took pictures from us and gave good advices! I highly recommend this adventure! It‘s totally worth it!

This was definitely a highlight of my Romania trip! Top bikes, amazing organisation, and Andrei is a wonderful guide. I can only recommend this to experience the Transfagarasan! Any fitness level can do this tour.

Good way to see the Transfagaran road. All care is taken and it is a very safe ride and made easy by the e-bike.

Absolutely worth it! This was my favorite day in Romania and I totally recommend it. I admit I am a regular biker, but I think almost everyone can do it regardless of age and complexion, since the e-Bikes make it extremely light and easy. The lake is beautiful and the view of the road from up above is stunning! Be ware: the traffic jam is dreadful, so the more reasons to go by bike! I was so happy to be able to go in and out of the lake without any concern about it (I calculate about 2 hour wait if you go by car). The bikes are in perfect condition, so you don't need to fear the downhill, although for the adrenaline seekers like me it's exciting if you don't rely too much on the breaks ;-) I did the tour in 2019 and don't remember the guy's name, but he was so sweet and fun! He speaks very good english and even a little spanish. I just regret not writing this before since I lost my account for a while, but I'd recommend this 100 times.
