Unforgettable Lake Como: Private Mostes Villa Journey

A great way to be introduced to Lake Como; Captain Luca and the rest of the Black Pearl crew were excellent. Booking with Viator was a breeze.

Boat operator had to shift boat/schedule for our group, but we got a larger boat (Venetian Taxi) with an extra hour thrown in to spend time in Varenna. Our young Captain Gian was capable and knowledgeable about the history of Lake Como. Recommended!

Bright & easy. 1 hue to Bellagio, 1 hour there, 1 hour back with a great skipper & music….perfect day.

You never know how many people are going to be on the boat until you show up for the trip. I had booked what I thought was a private trip for two people and when we get to the boat another couple showed up for a private trip with two people. The boat can only fit 4 passengers comfortably table bucket for up to five or six and then you have to sit on the back of the boat on the soft deck. It was a disappointment for both couples that it was not a private trip. There is no refund once you get to the boat. On a positive note, Jon our captian and tour guide was very good. I would suggest going to the pickup point early in the day when you want a tour and confirming/negotiating a tour.

Our family had a great boat day in lake Como! Our guide John was excellent! Got to enjoy the views and learn about Lake Como and got about an hour to explore Bellagio. definitely recommend this for anyone in lake como!

Our captain was wonderful and so entertaining. Going on the lake on a speed boat with Italian music playing, passing beautiful scenery it’s a life-changing moment

Upon arriving at the dock, was informed by the tour director that our boat had an issue, but the replacement boat provided an extra hour and stop at no extra charge (woo hoo!). Felt like we were being swindled by a used car salesman. 9 passengers were crammed onto a 22' center console open fisherman (4 of which were corralled by the tour director on the dicks at the last minute). As we approached Bellagio, the engine began to sputter. We were informed that the boat has a mechanical issue and the trip had to be cut short and the ride back to the dock took twice as long (boo hoo). Felt more like a water taxi to Bellagio rather than a guided tour. Better to have spent a lttle extra for a private tour.

George was an enthusiastic & knowledgeable captain! The boat was the perfect size. It felt like a private tour. If you can afford it, this is much better then taking an over stuffed ferry. Also, the stop in Bellagio was such a treat. It was the town I never knew I needed to see. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Italy

Captain George was very knowledgeable and a good guide for our 3 hr tour. Understand that you may not be the only party on the boat which isn't an issue unless you want to avoid sun/rain and there are limit seating under shade.
