Lake Como & Bellagio VIP: Your Private Italian Masterpiece

Giovanni was an excellent tour guide. He customized the experience based on our interests, gave us choices, and he was extremely courteous, friendly and very knowledgeable about history, regional information, culture, etc. I highly recommend booking a private tour with him.

My wife and I spent the first 2 days of our 2 week trip touring Lake Como & Bellagio, then riding through the Alps on the Bernina train to St Moritz, both days with Giovanni as our guide. Although it was an overcast day for the train ride, Giovanni found a way to make it memorable by taking photos throughout the day and finding a delicious sandwich and bottle of wine for the train ride. He definitely set the bar high for all others on the rest of our trip.

Giovanni is personable and knowledgeable about the area ( obviously ) but he caters the day to you and your interests and brings a little history with the magic.

Giovanni was an excellent driver and guide. His knowledge of the Lake Como area was outstanding. He was extremely personable and his knowledge of the area allowed him to make changes to the tour to avoid crowds and maximize our time. I would definitely recommend.

We are four English-speaking seniors and had a fantastic day touring Lake Como with Giovanni. He was incredibly accommodating, knowledgeable, and easy to communicate with. His English is excellent, and he made everything smooth and enjoyable. We traveled in comfort, saw stunning views, and appreciated how flexible and engaging he was throughout the day. Giovanni knows the area inside and out—he was even able to fast track us when needed, which made a big difference. Our only regret is not booking more than one day with him. He’s top notch, and we highly recommend his tour to anyone visiting the area.

Giovanni makes the tour to be so educational, interesting and pleasant. He takes time to impart the history of the places he brought us to. He is very professional and more importantly, he takes pride in what he does.

We spent two wonderful days touring with Giovanni, one on Lake Lugano and the second Lake Como. He is very knowledgeable and customized the tour around what you want to do. I highly recommend him.

What can I say about our 2 day tour with Giovanni? He was fantastic!! Day one was lake como and Bellagio. Giovanni collected us from como town and off we went taking in all his knowledge and tip. He many stops Along the way where he explained the local architecture and history and stories, it was very interesting and informative. Many stops aswell for photo opportunities, he knew the very best places ! Aswell as taking us around Giovanni also gave us time alone to explore ourselves and he took us to the best places for lunch aswell. There is nothing this guy doesn’t know about the local areas and history. Out 2nd day was a trip down to Tirano to pick up the Bernina train to St.Moritz. We did leave the train a few stops before St Moritz on Giovanni’s say so but he was 100% correct. The last part of the train was definitely seen better from the car and we had some stops for some photo opportunities which was lovely. We then made it to St.Moritz where again he showed us a lovely restaurant for lunch and then we had a nice afternoon wonder around the town where again he showed his knowledge. Even our long drive back to Lugano was full of history, knowledge and stories in each town we passed through. We have 2 other tours booked for our trip and we can only hope the guides are half as good as Giovanni ! We can’t thank him enough for a memorable 2 days. 5 stars all the way.

Awesome experience and Guide. The tour was perfect for our needs and we even met a famous person on our trip! Could not have asked for more. Giovanni is the best! Very kind, flexible and knowledgable. Book a tour, you won’t be disappointed.

We used Giovanni’s services for (1) transfer from Malpensa airport to Como (2) tour Como (3) transfer from Como to Milan Central station. Communication was smooth all the way from queries prior to booking to post travel with Giovanni. It was most unfortunate for Giovanni and us that his car ended up in the workshop just the day before our tour of Como. Not to disappoint us, Giovanni rented a vehicle to continue with the tour of Lake Como and Bellagio. Giovanni was informative and travelling around with him was like enjoyable like touring with a friend. We had another tour of his tour booked to see St Moritz which had to sadly be cancelled because of his car issue. Giovanni gave us an alternative suggestion of touring Varenna on our own, which we did and had a nice day hiking there. Clearly a responsible guide, Giovanni also arranged for someone to transfer us to Milan Central station given his car was stuck in the workshop over the New Year holidays. Given Giovanni’s personalised service and great personality, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a private guide who is also a licensed private driver.
