We went on a private local life tour with the owner, Gorge. It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon and to get out of the busy port area with tons of tourists. We visited and tasted Goge’s family’s local wine (yummy) and then drove to the lovely port area of Vrboska Harbor. If we return we would stay here for a much more low key, but everything you need, holiday. Then as sunset approached we went to a restaurant owned by some of Gorge’s friends where they served us beautiful fresh seared tuna steaks, fresh salad and homemade bread from their pizza oven, with wine of course! Fantastic! Gorge was super friendly and incredibly informative! We would absolutely recommend using Gorge and his company. He also does bike tours and we saw the really nice E-bikes they use. Definitely would try that next time!

The Local Life Tour was an absolute highlight of our honeymoon! We heard about it through word of mouth and are so glad we booked. Grgo, the guide and owner, was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about sharing his island and family traditions. His wife Silvana made booking easy and was so kind to coordinate with. As a young couple, we loved learning about the culture, history, and everyday life on Hvar. Hvar is far more than a party island! We explored hidden inland villages, vineyards, lavender fields, and even visited Grgo’s 350-year-old family konoba for a private tasting and delicious Mediterranean meal. The wine and food were amazing—we even brought home a few bottles! The tour was private, relaxed, and done in a beautiful, comfortable vehicle. It’s perfect for couples or small groups wanting a deeper, local experience. We’ll remember it forever. Book the Local Life Tour—you won’t regret it!

We had a very memorable trip with Grgo! We were originally scheduled for a hiking tour but because of the weather that wasn't possible. Grgo picked us up and explained the situation and asked if we would be happy with a bit of a different tour. He took us to places on the Island such as Stari Grad and Jelsa which were both amazing. We also visited some abandoned villages and he shared his knowledge of the history of the villages and people. He is very passionate about what he does and it definitely shows! We stopped by his family's small winery, met his father, and learned so much about their love of the land. I cannot say enough good things about our afternoon spent with him! I would recommend this company for any of the tours they offer. They truly care about giving you a wonderful experience!

This was a very special your experience- Gorg was as local as they come and he was able to immerse us in the local culture and history of Hvar island in a way that only someone who has grown up here can do. He took us to many quaint small villages around the island and we were able to enjoy time away from the crowded tourist scene of the main port. I highly recommend this tour!

This was one of our best excursions in Croatia. Our guide, Jelena, was fantastic and flexible, given the rainy conditions. (she initially suggested we might want to do the tour in the van, but the weather cleared up and we were able to cycle). We were equipped with e-bikes and we made an enjoyable loop through the Stari Grad Plain, Stari Grad itself, the village of Dol, and various other scenic villages. Some of our cycling was along the water-front. We saw a great deal small-scale agriculture, e.g., small vineyards, small olive tree groves, potato fields, etc. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Hvar Island and Stari Grad region in particular. She was also very attuned to safety--and fun to be with. We closed our cycling tour with wine tasting in an atmospheric wine cellar.

Natural Hvar Tours "lifts the curtain" and brings you a genuine, authentic sense of this amazing place. The owners are a local family who entered this business to offer an alternative for the visitor who wants to get closer to the essence of Hvar. Do you wonder why lavender is such a big deal here? Do you get tired of souvenir shops? Your time with Natural Hvar Tours takes you to a deeper understanding that helps you FEEL and SEE, the island. There is a reason the company has so many great reviews.

The local life tour of Hvar was a highlight of our Croatia trip. Our guide picked us up at our hotel in Hvar by the marina at 10am and we went to the Napoleon Fort (not the one in the town, this one is further away and higher) for some great views. We then drove around with multiple stops including Stari Grad and learned the history of the island and the ancient agricultural heritage, up to the more recent lavender cultivation. There was wine tasting with snacks, and also lunch at an incredible off the beaten track local restaurant. We got back to the hotel close to 4pm. An amazing day, and our guide was exceptional - a local, he knew people everywhere we went, and regaled us with tales of his family, the island, the soccer league he plays in and the rivalries (including use of "mainland" paid players by certain teams!) - just a fabulous way to see and get to know Hvar without needing to hire a car and work out all the logistics. Couldn't recommend this more.

A lovely half day away from the crowds. Gorgeous little villages like Jelsa, small narrow roads, amazing views of lavender fields, the mountains and the ocean. The Matcović Vrbanj rosé wine is from another world. Thank you Grgo for showing us another side of Hvar!

Grgo was very good host. We asked for the tour to be a bit earlier which he accommodated. He is very enthusiastic guide and keen to show the island. He took us off road to see some local villages. The best part was visiting his family konoba and hearing about the history of Hvar. We wish him and his family all the best for their business. Thank you for showing us local parts of Hvar!
