Our Walking Food tour exceeded all expectations. Our guide Day was knowledgeable and very entertaining. We definitely got a taste of Iceland including Fermented Shark :(. I would highly recommend. We did it after arriving to Iceland after traveling all night and it was perfect

It was a wonderful and informative food tour with Dagur/Day - He took us to 5 establishments (cafe/restaurants/pub/and the famous hotdog stand) where we sampled Icelandic cuisine. The food portions were plentiful and so tasty. Day even brought us fermented shark to try. Throughout the tour the history, life of Iceland was shared. Plenty of time for questions. This is a thoughtful curation of Icelandic fare delivered by a friendly, approachable and interactive tour guide. Thank you Day and team. Would definitely recommend this tour! Word of advice- go with an empty stomach!!

Bryn was an incredible guide, knowledgeable, friendly, and full of great stories that made the experience unforgettable. We loved exploring Iceland’s traditional cuisine with her, from arctic char and cod to lamb, hot dogs, and even hákarl, the famous fermented shark! If you want to discover authentic local flavors while learning more about Icelandic culture, I can’t recommend this tour (and Bryn!) enough.

I loved this food tour. Our guide, Day, is a lively, energetic, informative guy. I loved how he explained what the food would be before we entered the premises. Each stop gave us generous portions and the food was delicious and representative of traditional Icelandic cuisine. Day was really open to questions. His open-hearted approach helped the group to enjoy each other and him. Terrific experience and good value!

The food tour with Mimir was incredible! We were able to taste a large variety of Icelandic food while visiting 5 different restaurants. It was great Mimir provided the history of not only the restaurants but locations we passed on the tour. We had a wonderful time and would definitely go again. One of the best tours we went on in Iceland!!!
