Phang Nga Bay Explorer: James Bond & Sea Cave Canoeing Adventure

Depending on how far your hotel is from the boat pier (ours was 1 1/2 hours each way) it’s a long full day. Everything ran smoothly, communication beforehand was fast, the boat was clean, large and well maintained (including the onboard bathroom!). Our guide Omha was delightful. Smart, entertaining, thoughtful and really took good care of us. The whole operation considered every detail. My adult daughter and I had a fantastic time. The boat was not crowded, we were very comfortable. It was steady and smooth not rocking. The canoe is a rubber inflatable more like a large kayak where u sit on the bottom. A guide rows you do not. The sea caves and lagoons are beautiful and mysterious. We got the opportunity to swim in tranquil deep water. Poor swimmers could wear life jackets if they wish. There are no sharks, algae or big fish. We saw nothing. We had 4 stops. 2 for canoeing, 1 for swimming and 1 for James Bond Island. James Bond Island did not live up to the hype. You have to transfer from the big boat to a long tail boat and a few of them together at the dock area creates a sickening diesel fume. Getting passengers on and off is a chaotic hustle by island staff not our tour operator. For anyone slightly infirm it will be a challenge. Then you get hit up by over aggressive trinket sellers that ruin the vibe. The tiny island itself is beautiful and there is a lovely viewpoint for photos. But this was definitely our least favorite stop. The canoeing stops were magical and tranquil. Lunch? Fantastic! Organized, clean, plentiful, and something for everyone. Loved the fried chicken! Everyone was friendly and kind. We loved this excursion and highly recommend this company.

Fantastic day out! Worth going to, from start to finish Ohma and his team looked after us with a smile. The views are breathtaking and canoeing to the caves was fabulous with the added bonus from Alex ‘s entertainment and knowledge. Food they provided was of great standards and the vegetarian food was tasty!

Awesome experience. Awesome guides/tour operators. The food was fantastic as well. they cooked it on the boat for lunch. They made a really rainy day sunny and bright. The islands are fantastic but they really made it fun. The guides were very helpful . They took multiple photos of us (with our own camera phones) at each island at key points (even in the canoes). The ladies that cooked the lunch onboard totally exceed my expectations!!! It is by far the very best food that I have ever had on an excursion. These ladies put many restaurants to shame.

The boat trip to James bond island was amazing even with rain, the guide, Tommy was very funny, offer to take picture of us. And the canoeing was wanderful, Leo conducter was very helpful.

it was good tour and mr.Tommy was a great leader. I absolutely loved the James Bond Island tour! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The guides were friendly, fun, and very informative. The scenery was breathtaking — especially the limestone cliffs and turquoise water. The canoeing part through the caves was an unforgettable experience. We also had plenty of time for photos and relaxing on the beach. Lunch was delicious and the overall atmosphere was amazing. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Phuket — it’s a perfect mix of adventure, nature, and relaxation. Truly worth every minute!
