Bali's Hidden Heart: Exclusive Village & Culture Discovery

The tour was great and Sumo is a great storyteller. We had a full day tour and saw a lot of places. Too bad it started raining and we we could only admire the rice terrace from a far instead of having the tour.

Like many others, we chose this tour because of the great reviews — and honestly, it was amazing! Our guide, Sumo, was incredibly knowledgeable and happy to share insights about his culture and traditions as many times as we wanted. You don’t even need to bring water; they always make sure you have some. The car was super comfortable, and both the driver and Sumo were extremely kind and friendly. Thank you so much — highly recommended! 🌟

We were picked up at the port by our driver Arya at the appointed time. Started with a selfie picture of the three of us in Arya's vehicle. We were offered bottled cold water quite often during the tour and that was greatly appreciated. We stopped at a fabric business as well as a Silversmith where we learned about the manufacturing process. Then off to a Temple. Arya was a great guide and his knowledge and teaching of us about the Temple was so much more than we expected. We were told by other passengers on our cruise that they saw us at the Temple with Arya and how attentive he was to both of us. They would have liked to have had the personal attention we had rather than the large group they were with. Another point about Arya was that he would take creative pictures of us at the various sites. This was greatly appreciated and added to the great memories of this tour. Next was the Monkey Forest and that was great fun.We saw the terraced rice patties and there were also special things being done there. Then off to lunch in a beautiful spot that was included in the tour fee. Next was a coffee and tea plantation that was very good, there were samples of their products, and not being a coffee drinker we ended up purchasing a couple of their coffee products. We went to a waterfall and it was beautiful. Arya out did himself with very creative pictures. The back to our ship. This was more than a ten hour day and hit all the best spots. Also all of the entrance fees were included for the tour. If you decide to take this tour ask for Arya as your tour guide/driver. He is an asset to the company he represents. We now have a friend in Bali.

Experiences very informative,need to clarify that after each adventure it was followed by constant shops to purchase expensive items.Sights were good,lunch lukewarm,Manu,our driver was very friendly/professional,enjoyed his input.Would recommend the tour,but take note of above comments

We chose this tour company because of the rating and it didn't disappoint! Very good communication: we were contacted a few days prior to the trip, as a reminder, and also to introduce to the driver/guide. On the actual trip day, they arrived early to pick us up at the hotel. The guide, Mr. Sumo was super friendly and knowledgeable, which made the trip very fun and enjoyable. We were given a few water bottles, so we weren't concerned about getting thirsty because of the heat. He could also speak English which made it easy for us to understand. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience exploring Bali! Highly recommend!Thank you!

Arya was an amazing guide, his knowledge was outstanding and he took the time to tell me so much about the culture of his people. I thoughtly enjoyed the tour. Would recommend highly!

From the moment we were picked up by our guide Arya we knew that this was going to be a great tour. He was friendly, polite, personal, professional and full of knowledge. He explained what was included in the day as we drove and gave some interesting facts and details. We had never been to Bali hadn’t had much time to read up either but this tour is comprehensive and over a full day 8.30 am to 7pm we were treated to a catch all of Bali from its culture to its geography. We started the tour at Sari Amerta Batik Collection which showed the Batik processing creating some fantastic designs and paintings on fabric. We then moved on to another cultural art centre where we saw more artists at work where we saw the different techniques, which used canvas and acrylic paints. Then onto a silver jewellery centre where we saw the raw materials be transformed into some ornate jewellery. On to the Puseh Batuan Temple where Arya explained the detail around the temples, the designs through to the meanings in the faith. Very knowledgable and provided the level of detail we wanted - headline level but delved into more detail when we asked questions. Then onto the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary which was great - the monkeys we kept at a distance whilst others were in closer contact but all interesting and all very relaxed. The Tegalalang Rice Terrace an UNESCO site was great - a beautiful valley of tiered rice fields where you could see how all the irrigation worked. Here we added to the tour paying for a ride across the valley on a bike on wire. Fantastic views whilst I guess not the faint hearted Then a car journey up to have lunch looked across at Mount Kawi - lunch was traditional but very good and included in the price The coffee plantation was next and again another demonstration of how coffee is manufactured from the plant, bean, roasting to grinding through to tasting. Finally on to the Tegenungan Waterfall which was spectacular - there is a lot of steps on this one to get down to the bottom of the valley to the bottom of the waterfall but worth the effort. It can be viewed from the top but you get to see more down the bottom and if you want you can go for a swim. What a full packed day but worth every penny. We had a great guide who made the day so much more than we imagined.

Agung was an excellent tour guide and driver. He explained the places we were going to very thoroughly. He had a wonderful local knowledge of Bali and Balinese culture and I felt extremely comfortable and enjoyed the conversations. A very polite and courteous person who I would highly recommend to others. Thankyou for introducing me to some of the wonderful sites of Bali. Such a diverse program for people not staying long in Bali. Hi-lights for me were the Rice Terraces, the monkeys, theTemple visit and the Batik and Silver making. Lunch was delicious Balinese food.

We had an exceptional experience with Sumo as our tour guide — he was absolutely fabulous! He kept us laughing, shared so much knowledge, and even learned a few words in our native language, which made the experience feel extra special. This tour gave us so many wonderful firsts and memories we’ll never forget. Highly recommended! 👌
