Dachau: An Unforgettable Journey of Remembrance from Munich

This small group tour was a true highlight of our time in Munich. My husband and I found Alun to be very engaging and the most well informed tour guide we’ve ever had. His in depth knowledge of the history of Dachau allowed him to answer every question from our group. I highly recommend this tour.

We had the best tour with Alun! Right from the start of the tour he gave such clear instructions and indications of everything we would do, so much knowledge and sensitivity—we felt totally at ease and in great hands. He was so thoughtful and attentive both to us and also of the people around us, whether on the train or at the site. Having a small group also allowed us to have more personal interaction—we could ask questions, and he provided information to help drive home the meaning and importance of the experience more than we would have done if exploring on our own. Alun was very knowledgeable about the subject and provided many insights about the camp, the background, its formation, use, and its present day conditions. In addition he was very thoughtful, making sure we all got where we needed to, including some with mobility issues.

This was a remarkable tour. Alun provided detailed information and explanations. He took the time to field questions from the group. He was on time at the pickup location (Marienplatz) and returned us promptly as promised. He positioned us at the optimal platform positions for both the trains and buses (the camp was very busy with other groups). I would highly recommend this tour.
