The buses did not run on time. In most cases, it would have at least half-an hour to an hour late (in place of every 15 minutes). I wanted to visit a couple of more places but lost time by the bus delay, at my last stop i waited 50 minutes (just standing on my feet), got tired, and finally gave up on it (I mainly used the orange colour one). Finally, I gave up my test of the visit plans and took a taxi to my hotel.

It is harder to find this Hop On/Off than the red busses. The only thing I would change is the bus driver’s professionalism. We arrived at the bus and I showed the driver my QR code and he kept yelling “Scan! Scan! and pointing down the street. He finally walked us to another bus which was empty of passengers but filled with junk and a young man sitting in the front with a device to scan our code and issue a paper ticket. Viator might want to teach this guy a few more English words like “Go to that bus, scan and come back.” He came across rude and obnoxious. Read less

We had a great start to our Munich trip by jumping on the Munich City Hop-on Hop-off Tour. We did the short round town trip then stayed on for the longer journey. It was best for giving us good context for our Munich stay and discover what to see in detail. The bus was clean and tidy, hats off to the driver, navigating through the tricky streets of Munich. We recommend the Gray Line Münchener - Munich City Hop-on Hop-off Tour.

It was convenient to have a bus pass to get around to some of the bigger sites in Munich-- I think the round-trip transportation from the train station area to Nymphenburg Palace alone was probably enough for me to justify the hefty price tag. But be aware there are only 7 stops on the green line-- not like 20+ as in a big city like London. The orange line is good if you want to go to the palace or the Olympic Park and would rather skip the subway and avoid going the taxi or ride share route. But it also only has 4 stops. I saw lots of reviews saying the audio wasn't synced up- I didn't have an issue with that. The drivers are friendly, the buses are easy to spot (once you realize some say Gray Line and some say Big Bus, but it's all the same thing now) and I like that the app shows you where the buses are on the route.

The tour is a great overview of the city highlights. We learned so much about Munich. We want to return to Munich soon

The route was fine but there could have been more commentary, especially at the beginning. More about the history of Munich and the buildings early in the route. The online map was helpful when we got off at one stop and wanted to get back on at a different stop.

There is up to 20 minutes waiting time at the first stop. The audio tour did not start for us right away. Helps see a lot in a short period of time.

Nice service, similar to any other Hop On Hop off. We took the Green Line (City) route. Efficient although a little slow. Overall a fair experience.

during our recent visit to Munich, we used the hop-on-hop off for two days. It was good and covered all important landmarks. Frequency could have been better.
