Epic Mutianyu Great Wall: Morning Adventure from Beijing

If you're a photographer looking to capture the Great Wall, you need to book this tour with Kevin. We went to the MuTianYu section, Kevin as our guide. He knew all the secret spots – the best watchtowers for taking nice pictures. The Mubus organization was seamless, giving us plenty of time to explore without feeling rushed. The views of the wall snaking over the rugged mountains were absolutely stunning. Kevin's advice was professional and spot-on; His deep understanding of the landscape and his patience with our group was remarkable. This tour, led by such an experienced and insightful guide, exceeded all my expectations. Mubus team did a perfect job. Kevin is a star who is really helpful and professional. We had such an amazing time on our Great Wall tour with Mr. Mike and Mubus! Everything was super smooth and well-organized the tour started on time, and the whole day went perfectly. Mr. Mike was an awesome guide! He shared so many cool stories about the Great Wall’s history and made the trip really fun and educational. We loved that we got to explore both the East and West sides — each one had its own vibe and stunning views. The Mubus team was great too super friendly and helpful all throughout. The Mubus Family Lounge was a nice bonus; the food was delicious and there were lots of good options. Overall, such a memorable experience! Totally recommend this tour if you’re visiting Beijing.

Great tour! Started the day at 10am and back to Beijing at 7pm. Definitely worth it day trip to see the Great wall. Very kind and knowledgeable guides!

It was a great trip! Jessica was an amazing guide — friendly, fun, and very informative. We explored both sides of the Wall, and the views were incredible! The buffet lunch at MuBus Restaurant was delicious. The only downside was the weather, but overall it was a fantastic experience!

Such an amazing trip—seriously, the arrangement was perfect! Quick tip: book the 8AM tour, and don’t be surprised if there’s more than one coach—we had three today! Our guide John said they add extra buses on busy days. Arrive a little early if you can to hop on an earlier ride (latest departure is 8AM) The weather started off a bit foggy when we arrived, but it cleared up beautifully as the morning went on—and wow, the views after the fog lifted were stunning! The mountains were covered in colorful plants, and we snapped so many incredible photos—every corner was picture-worthy. Guide John was absolute gold! He’s so helpful and knowledgeable—on the bus, he shared fascinating stories about the Great Wall’s construction history that were totally eye-opening, and even corrected a few common misconceptions I’d had for years. That extra insight made the tour feel so much more special—total bonus!

John was a very well organised guide and full of knowledge. Meeting point was easy to get to, and guides were already in the location. All information was provided on the bus journey as well as facts about the wall. We had booked the 30 minute guided tour and when we arrived, we were shown to our guide. We opted for cable cars/tobogan also, tickets for this were purchased during our bus ride and tickets given to us when we arrived at the office. Tip, remember your confirmation number. Buffet lunch was good, plenty of options. Thanks for a great day.

We went with Mu Bus, and they were fantastic—what a memorable tour! Their own building near the Great Wall bus station is super convenient, with a totally organized setup (no chaos at all). From easy booking to smooth drop-off, their service was top-notch. We visited during golden autumn—timing couldn’t have been better! The mountains were breathtaking: lush greenery dotted with red, orange and colorful leaves, capturing late autumn’s charm. It was a bit foggy on arrival, but lifted by afternoon—and that’s when the magic happened. Taking the cable car up saved lots of time and energy. We were blown away by the Great Wall, winding endlessly along mountain tops; its spectacular architecture perfectly complemented the stunning natural surroundings—such a feast for the senses! Huge shoutout to guide John—he knows the Great Wall deeply, with fresh, eye-opening insights that added rich layers to our hike. 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Great Wall—you won’t regret it!

Mubus was definitely worth it! Great structure, guides and very organized! They speak English very well (something very valuable in China) I had an amazing experience!

Our family of two had an absolutely amazing day with Mubus visiting the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. The entire trip was so well-organized. The bus was clean and comfortable, and we left right on time from DongZhiMen station. Kevin, our guide, was a true professional. On the way, he gave us a history lesson that got everyone excited. He explained our options clearly: we could take the cable car up and the toboggan down, which we did, and it was a blast! The Wall itself was amazing. The views of the mountains rolling away into the distance are something I'll never forget. Kevin's advice was golden: he told us to wear sturdy shoes (so glad we did, the steps are no joke!) and to bring a hat and water. We felt so well looked after. I can't imagine a better way to experience the Great Wall. Highly recommend Mubus and especially Kevin!
