Manual was charming, funny, humble, knowledgeable. He described Florence through the eyes of a local from the past and through his own in the present. The love he has for this city is infectious. We learned things we never even thought to search for- what a highlight of the tour!! Highly recommend; he will not disappoint you. (And neither will Florence.)

Take this tour! Manuel is so knowledgeable; it’s amazing how much history he knows from memory and how smoothly he transitions from showing photos to moving from place to place. You can feel the passion he has for his city through his storytelling enhanced by his personal touch and humor. I studied abroad here for a few months before taking this tour and can say 100% I never would’ve learned these things if not through Manuel’s eyes. It was a beautiful mix of monuments and hidden gems. Thank you for giving me a new perspective to see this amazing city.

Very informative and friendly, from a local perspective. Took us through hidden passages to the popular sights but gave historical background in everything.

The length of the tour is just right, and the guide does an excellent job explaining the different periods and centuries of Florence’s history in a clear and engaging way.

Deborah was able to bring Florence alive in a whole new way while teaching us about art, history and the tales of the Medici. It’s one of the best walking tours we’ve taken and I absolutely recommend it.
