Highly recommend this tour, great way to see the extraordinary temples, shrines, Palace and significant cultural centers in Kyoto. Our guide was knowledgeable, warm, friendly and good fun.

The view was amazing. Lots of temples shrine castle done in 1 day. Very efficient way to travelling if you don’t have a lot of time in Kyoto. The guides were informative. Thanks Casey for the tip about Isetan!

Great tour of the sits around Kyoto and lunch was a good way to have a break. Our 6 year old daughter even managed the long day.

The tour is great, and our guide Casey was well informed and very friendly. We got the full day tour, so it was pretty exhausting, but there is a good enough lunch break that you can get some rest in between all the walking and stairs you need to take. We got the no lunch option as my sister is vegetarian, and we weren't sure if there would be anything for her to eat. However, we were informed on the bus that there are, in fact, vegetarian options available for lunch. So to any vegetarians out there you will have food. We got lucky our hotel was beside the drop-off point so we could eat there instead.

Highly Recommend this tour. Full day packed with interesting places to see in Kyoto. The right amount of time spent in each place. The tour guides were informative and knowlegeable and the coach was very comfortable. Very tastly lunch too. I have been on MANY coach tours and this was ONE OF THE BEST. Many Thanks to everyone involved.

Excellent tour and guide who was very knowledgeable. Sufficient time given at each of the six sites covered in spite of rain. The lunch was also good and one of my friends was a vegetarian which was looked into.

Not an huge fan of group bus tour but our guide KC from JTB was exceptional! On a very hot 40c++ day 😅 he took great care of the group. Asked each of us often if we were okay due to risk of potential heat stroke (really). He was funny, cheerful and attentive. Plus while I expected to see only 3 sights we saw more than 5 areas…..an interesting jam-packed experience. The highlight being Sanjusangen-do Temple with 1000 Kannon statues. Breathtaking! Highly recommended!

As the Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed to visitors on Mondays (or the following day if Monday is a holiday) and on days when there is an Imperial Household Agency event, the tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead. If the closed day falls on the 25th, the tour will visit Nishi Hongan-ji Temple
Nijo Castle is closed on Tuesdays in January, July, August, and December. (Closed on the following day if Tuesday is a holiday.) If closed, Ryoan-ji Temple will be visited instead
Participants will walk from the parking lot to Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine (about 15 min one-way)
Refunds will not be issued in case the tour visits aforementioned alternative destinations
The order of activities and arrival times may differ depending on road conditions and congestion at destinations
