Taiwan's Grand 5-Day Odyssey: Unforgettable Island Wonders

An amazing overview of the entire island of Taiwan hitting many of the major places to see. Our tour guide Eric was FANTASTIC and made the tour. He explained the history, context, culture, social background, etc. expertly for everything we did, which was very informative and provided depth to the places we visited. He also was a gentle and calm tour guide who worked really hard and made sure we had a positive experience. I actually wish the tour was a little bit longer so we could visit other locations like Alishan but there’s no way to include everything in five days! Would definitely recommend thus tour as well worth the money. Met wonderful people on the trip. The hotel and breakfast buffets were five star - truly stellar and beautiful accommodations! I don’t know how the tour price is what it is based on the hotels we got to stay in nightly. They truly are not kidding when they say you will be staying in five-star hotels. Every breakfast buffet was exceptional and extensive! For the tour itself, organized very well, so there are adequate and frequent bathroom breaks and places that are clean. I have not been to Taiwan since I was a kid. This adult experience was incredible. Also, our bus driver, Michael, although I do not think that is his real name, but what we called him to make it easier, he was an exceptional driver and made sure none of us got carsick. Overall, just a very wonderful tour!

Exactly what is described. Sure, it is a bus tour, you have the opportunity to see the main spots on the west and east coast if Taiwan. During the bus ride you get a lot information about Taiwan. For me it all.payed off. No need to organize yourself. I can clearly recommend!

I was hesitant to book this tour as a solo traveller as the single supplement was quite price heavy. But I went with it….. The guide, Alan…..as previously mentioned was exceptional. His mix of openness, relaxed nature and humour made for a very relaxing 5 days. His use of multimedia was really something that every tour guide should see because it can transform the tour experience. I’d say I would have preferred the 5 days to be 6 days as the time on the bus was a little bit too much. The organisation of Edison tours was also incredible. They only work 9am - 6pm but pre tour they were so quick to reply. Even if you don’t book the 5 day tour, I would certainly recommend any tour that Edison offers.

I brought my family and colleagues to this trip in December 2024. During the entire trip, our tour guy Eric did such an excellent job!!! He was professional, knowledgeable, well organized, and easy to approach for help. Since our return to the States, I have kept telling my friends if one day they are going to travel in Taiwan, they should join Eric’s tour by Edison Travel for the best experience. Lovely memories to be treasured forever.

In a time, we got an appreciation of the history, the culture, today’s life while seeing the most breathtaking sites. The guide, Alan Chou, was fabulous -knowledgeable, informative, considerate, organized with a wonderful sense of humor. I would HIGHLY recommend this from wherever you’re from. We had many countries represented on our tour, which added to the learning and enjoyment. As an overview, this was an excellent tour. Now we get to enjoy another week of hiking and biking, fulfilled with the new understanding we gained about the Taiwanese and their country.

Alan Chou is an excellent tour guide. Gave lots of options for eating . Has a lot of knowledge about this tour. A very personable guide. Great humor. His digital presentations were great. Made the tour fun.

I can’t believe how great this trip was five star accommodations - fantastic Tour Guide Alan Chou - brand new bus and for a fantastic price!

This trip as a solo traveler was extremely accommodating and with the price tag well worth it. Our tour guide, Ciao, was extremely accommodating towards the 27 of us on top of juggling 2 languages which he managed to do without a skip. The locations themselves were full of taiwanese nature and culture and these 5 days seemed to shoot by! I will note that due to some typhoon damage some locations may be skipped as well as the hotels sometimes being recluse with heavy rain which may prevent afternoon walking. These are ofcourse not anyone's fault but just of note.

I’m a world traveler. This tour was unexpectedly one of my best trips. The guide Allan Cho was very knowledgeable and one excellent guide. The prioritize the safety of passengers. The hotels are all top notch in terms of location and service. All 5 star accommodations. 3/4 hotels they booked their guest was hot springs equipped. That was a bonus since it was unexpected. The trip takes you to the whole island around. What was spectacular was the East Coast of Taiwan, which was beautiful. The highway by the coast all alone from the south to the north was fantastic. I would only use Edison tours for trips in Taiwan. I also did the northern Part which was a separate trip from this five day tour. Their service was fantastic.

This was a great 5 day tour exploring the highlights around Taiwan. It allowed us to see parts that we would likely have not visited on our own. Alan, our guide was great - very knowledgeable & entertaining.
