Once we got on the bus, it was okay - what you’d expect. Basic transportation. The stops aren’t actually close to the things advertised at each stop, but they are walking distance if you want to get off. That said - the lines were insanely miserable, and there was no room on the roof deck until very late in the day. Even when I got a seat, I felt bad for all the tourists’ faces of despair when they realized they had to sit in the bottom where there was no view. But that wasn’t even the worst part - it took us nearly an hour to find the starting point. There are two rival Hop On Hop Off companies, both of whom claim to be the “official” tour, and when you wait in the long line and are turned away from the opposite of what you buy, there is no consolation from anyone for your wasted time (not even a pity “sorry”). Good luck finding the actual boarding spot! This tour company on Viator sure has no interest in helping; they just collect your money and that’s enough to make them smile. I bought this for my parents and me - it was NOT worth the $120. Do yourself a favor and just use Cabify (the Barcelona version of Uber) to get where you want to go. Also, the narration onboard is useless. It’s mostly music while you wait in traffic; the stops are only sometimes announced (so you miss the non-major stops), and the music is loud while narration is soft (my poor Dad had ear pain after about 10 minutes from the sudden, obnoxious change in volume). Honestly, it’s unimpressive. All this aside, Barcelona is a beautiful city! Definitely visit Barcelona, just don’t do this tour. I would rate the metro 5–stars and also Cabify 5-stars. Enjoy Barcelona! Just don’t fall for this tourist trap. Fool me once, shame on you… fool me twice… let’s just say I won’t ever recommend Hop on Hop off in Barcelona to anyone - not this “tour guide” selling it on Viator. Enjoy the city! It’s beautiful!

Well worth the money. We enjoyed the experience of touring the entire city was very enjoyable. The language specific ear buds were perfect.

This was a great way to get around Barcelona. It was nice to have the headset to get a little history about the stops and it was easy to get on and off throughout the city.

Good way to spend part of the day seeing the city, busses run often, busses were clean. Open air seating

We only had one day to explore the city and this was a great way to do it. The service was excellent and the bus was comfortable with options to select the narration in your preferred language.

It was an easy decision to do the hop-on hop-off bus while we were in Barcelona. The bus line took us everywhere we wanted to go and the narration about the various sites was great. My only suggestion: play more lively music in between sites.

This was a great tour bus for a very reasonable cost. We got to see so much that we would not have otherwise been able to. Certainly worth the price. If I had to say there was one thing that could be changed, I would say, just maybe a couple minutes more at any stop, because sometimes we'd like to take pictures and it was a little too fast to do so but other than that, this was great!

Sat on top of bus, great view and weather. Audio narration was quite informative. Will use again, if or when I return here.

Overall it was fine but a lot of time driving round interesting streets. We took the orange route but I would suggest the more central route is a better option

We did both loops in a single day as we had the 24-hour option, which is the first thing to point out. This experience is 2 bus routes, which you can transfer between in a few spots along the way. We picked up the red line at the Sagrada and then did a full red loop, after which we walked to the blue loop from the Sagrada. If I am giving you advice, I would say to do the 48-hour version and do 1 loop each day. I don't think this is necessarily worth it. But if you want to do this - and I get that there is value in hop on/off bus routes - I would suggest a line per day and the 48-hour option. The biggest issue I had was that this should not be a 2-hour loop. Well, I should adjust that and say it does not need to be a 2.5 hour loop, which is what the red loop was. We often just sat at stops and waited, and waited, and waited. In reality, these bus drivers are all cigarette smoking fiends that need to get off every 3rd stop and smoke again. This is a major downside to this experience. The fact it was so long meant we only got off the red line once, at Munjuic to climb to the top. The rest of the time we stayed on the bud. The blue line we didn't bother because we would have been left out there since it was getting late. I give this a 3 of 5 since it wasn't terrible. It's a decent enough way to see the city but I think it could be far better with a more efficient set of drivers. I know a lot of people complain about the plugs. We had a small issue with them, but they worked ok.
