Breathtaking Reef Safari: Cape Tribulation Snorkel Tour

We had a wonderful snorkelling experience- we went to the Great Barrier Reef by boat.The Staff (Charlie!& her younger colleague, Brendan and Liam ) were very helpful on the boat and on finding interesting animals, f.i. turtles. We can definitely recommend iit!

Great crew and an amazing experience. Everything was explained clearly and extremely well organised. They guys obviously loved what they do and we were taken care of so well.

We had such an amazing time on Ocean Safari! We have three kids (6, 4 and 1), so we were a little apprehensive about heading out, but the crew were absolutely incredible. There was something for everyone, even our 1 year old loved exploring the sand island and watching the fish from the boat, while the older 2 had a blast snorkelling and playing in the sand. The crew went above and beyond to make it easy and enjoyable for everyone on board, from the littlest kids to the nervous adults. We’d highly recommend it! 🌊🐠🏝️

Was excellent, boat ride to reef was short and fun. Staff helpful and energetic. Reef spot was great, have gone with these guys twice both times spot on.

It was a great experience snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef. It was very professionally organized and Josh (captain) and Cody (tour guide) were super enthusiastic and had great knowledge and they brought it with humor. Example; don't keep it secret if there is a man overboard.... Thanks Josh and Cody for the great morning!!! I can recommend this trip.

My tour got cancelled due to unexpected boat maintenance. I understand these things can happen but due to the timing I had to complete my trip to Qld without seeing the Great Barrier Reef. Just to warm others - Ocean Safari are the only boat that goes out from Cape Tribulation. Always have a back up plan.

I have nothing against the ocean safari itself, but unfortunately our trip was cancelled due to strong winds & weather warnings. Understand completely that this is completely out of their control, but the issue we have was that they cancelled our first trip due to unexpected boat maintenance, then we decided to book onto another day. We got an email a couple of days before saying that there was gonna be some windy conditions but nothing to be concerned about, so we went ahead & booked our accommodation, car hire & of course the crossing over the daintree river, which of course adds up in itself before the excursion. A lot of people come to cape tribulation just for the ocean safari tour, so it would have been nice for them to just be completely transparent & say look we’re expecting some windy conditions which could lead to cancellation rather than saying in an email that it would be fine. If they had said this we probably would have cancelled, saved the money on accommodation, the crossing & the car which is now a wasted trip & a lot of money paid. I have heard such good reviews about this company & the tour itself, & the staff was so lovely in dealing with this but obviously they can’t control the weather, maybe being told it would likely be cancelled would have saved us disappointment & a lot of money.

Fun reef experience, hospitable and knowledgeable crew (only 10 on our tour so Codie and Brendon gave us an almost private tour experience). Codie pointed out lots of fish and we swam with 2 turtles. Boat was solid and safe. Snorkels, fins and masks were high quality Easy!
