Montserrat Majesty: Half-Day Sacred Mountain & Monastery

Javi gave us a great small group tour and was a good driver. Views at top of funicular were amazing. We had a bit of fog in the morning, maybe the afternoon trip wouldn’t have had that.

Pick up and drop off at hotel was very convenient. Our guide, Teo, was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. The small group of 8 was nice. Montserrat is beautiful inside and out. Overall, a great experience.

Our tour guide was Javi and he was an excellent driver and tour guide. He communicated well for the pick up and where and when to meet. It’s a scary ride but it was obvious he knows it well.

Definitely a worthwhile experience. The black Madonna and monastery are incredible. I recommend that you include an up close visit to the Madonna. It is really difficult to get a picture from below. Our tour guide, Alex was good and knowledgeable about the history. The one improvement we would suggest is a microphone in the vehicle. Sitting in the back, and next to a speaker that had music playing low, we missed much of what he was saying.

It’s a great way to see this area but if you want to do more than one activity like see the museum and hike up the mountain to see the cross, etc. you need the whole day. It was still a wonderful trip.

We had the best time on our tour. It was a last minute booking and so glad we got to see beautiful Montserrat! Our guide Hengameh was so knowledgeable and efficient. Would absolutely recommend her! Our driver Kosta was great as well. Thanks for the amazing trip!

This was an absolutely wonderful experience. The company was great to deal with and upgraded our 3 smaller groups from vans to a comfortable coach. They were prompt with our hotel pickup. Our guide, Hengemeh, was delightful. She was so knowledgeable about not only Montserrat, but also the history of Barcelona. She was very patient with our group, as we had a few passengers with disabilities and she took great care of them as well. Our driver, Aaron, negotiated the Barcelona traffic and the winding mountain road with the utmost care, making us feel safe. He also took extra care handling the wheelchair and scooter for our disabled passengers. Our group took several tours during our European visit, but this one was by far the absolute best. Beautiful in the afternoon session as the sun sets over this gorgeous mountain! Teo was wonderful and also left us with recommendations for local restaurants. Great afternoon !
