Iconic Vespa Tour: Rome's Breathtaking Countryside Escape

My guide Mario was knowledgeable, accommodating, thoughtful, punctual and flexible, and he made my excursion outside Rome a wonderful and fun experience. Of course, there was no beating the thrill of flying on the highways and zigzagging between cars in the city while riding on a red Vespa!

This trip was amazing ! My husband and I and my two sons (21 -and 16). My 16 year old only wanted to do a Vespa tour and this was the perfect one. Mario and the other drivers were fantastic. We went up to a Papal State in the mountains overlooking a lake. Then drove around the lake a bit and had Ana amazing lunch. Mario was full of knowledge stopping along the way for perfect photo shoots and information about the sights. Don’t hesitate to do this.

Mario was an excellent guide! Very knowledgeable and took me to some really cool places. He treated me to his favorite places, espresso and an EXCELLENT LUNCH at a cool local place. He even gave me tips on places to eat and drink the best espresso in my neighborhood. PLEASE NOTE!!! Viator didn’t explain that you will be a PASSENGER on a scooter if you have little to no experience driving your own vehicle. If you request your own Vespa, like me, you will pay for one day Vespa rental, have international drivers license, and demonstrate proficient riding skills. Navigating Rome on my own Vespa is very daunting! But following Mario was FUN and EASY and took any guesswork out of my head. I could just concentrate on my vehicle the road and simply follow his lead. I had a HUGE SMILE all day long!!! I would DEFINITELY do this again!

How to do sightseeing in Rome? Of course on a vespa! It was really easy and convenient to get the Vespa and further more - Mario gave us great advice where to go in Rome, a little riddle and restaurants recommendations! The Vespa was in a good shape and Mario gave us a great introduction. When we come back to Rome we will definitely book mario’s Vespa if we need one. Beste wishes Manoj & Michelle
