Embark on a captivating journey that artfully weaves together history, nature, and adventure. Skip-the-line access to both Pompeii and Vesuvius allows you to make the most of your day. In Pompeii, a 2r guided tour led by an expert archaeologist reveals the haunting beauty of a city frozen in time by the eruption of 79 AD. Following your exploration, indulge in a traditional Italian lunch. Your adventure continues to Mount Vesuvius, with a choice between two unique trails: The Crater Trail leads you on a scenic ascent to the summit, where sweeping views of the Bay of Naples and a striking glimpse into the volcanic crater await. The Valley of Hell offers a more adventurous path, winding through solidified lava flows from the 1944 eruption and revealing extraordinary rock formations and a hidden lava cave. Both trails are led by experienced guides who provide insights into the geological and historical significance of the area.

It was a very pleasant day with a fantastic tour guide, Andrea. The lunch was amazing and we had a great time. The driver, Mauritio, was also very kind.

A buck list item for sure. Anna, our archeological guide in Pompeii, was very knowledgeable and brought the streets to life. The climb to Mt Vesuvius was hot and quite steep, but not anything that couldn't be managed with a rest stop now and then. The views were incredible and absolutely worth it.

Excellent trip, highly recommended and it delivered everything we expected. A special thanks to Titti who was our tour lead, Antonio our very capable driver, and Teresa who was our experienced guide in Pompeii. We started out early, getting to Pompeii by 9:00am, and this made a big difference as the crowds are smaller in the morning. We were very impressed with Teresa’s knowledge of Pompeii, and she added in many interesting facts and stories throughout the tour. Pompeii is a much bigger physical site than we expected, and the realistic presentation of life during 79 AD was genuine and the majority of the artefacts and buildings are maintained with very little intervention. The Pompeii tour lasts for approximately 2 hours. Following that we started the bus journey to Mt Vesuvius, stopping one the way for a 3 course lunch. The food was welcome before we completed our trek up the volcano. You arrive at a parking area reserved for tour buses, and from there it takes 35 minutes to walk to the top of the crater. The views are spectacular and you get to look into the crater. It takes another 25 to 30 minutes to descend, and once all the group have arrived back you return to Naples. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour, and we appreciated Titti’s excellent organisation of the day. You’ll understand how capable Antonio’s driving is when you see the roads up the volcano. Antonio also dropped us close to our accommodation to save us having to get a bus from the original drop off point.

It really was a fabulous day and a perfect way to see both Pompeii and Vesuvius. We were picked up at the agreed meeting point by Giuseppe, our guide for the day, who was brilliant and looked after us very well all day. Gennaro was our driver, who did a fantastic job - especially navigating his way through the winding roads up Vesuvius in the afternoon. The first stop of the day was Pompeii and the guided tour by Alessio was brilliant and I would definitely recommend this, if you want to know the history of the buildings and what happened. We then got back on the bus and headed for a “light lunch” at Kona, which was delicious. If they consider a 4 course lunch as a light lunch, I can’t imagine what a normal lunch would be…. After lunch it was back on the bus to start the climb of Vesuvius, where we were dropped off to walk the final part, which was well worth it to see the views from the top! Thank you to Giuseppe and Gennaro for making the day so wonderful - an incredible experience!

I had a great day with our friendly guide-Giuseppe and our driver-Gennaro! The trip in Pompeii was amazing and so full of history! I learned a lot from it! Although the climb of Mt Vesuvius was exhausting, but the view was breathtaking! The efforts all paid off!

We loved our tour! Josefina was an excellent tour guide who kept us on track throughout the day with great communication and a fun sense of humor. Visiting Pompeii was an unforgettable experience, lunch was out of this world, and climbing Mt Vesuvius was definitely the highlight of the day. Mario was also a great driver who got us everywhere safely and efficiently. Would highly recommend!

New and comfortable van with expert safe driver, fluent in English, very personable. The guide at Pompeii was knowledgeable and courteous. The prearranged lunch was tasty and accommodating for guests with food allergies. The hike at Mt Vesuvius was challenging but doable and rewarding.

Our small group guide Carmela was very energetic and helpful and the driver Nando has lots of energy as well. We enjoyed Pompeii tour and “light lunch” was not light as all. Quite beyond our expectations. The hiking around the new and old volcanoes are a bit exhausting but definitely interesting. Our volcano guide Marcus is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge. Overall highly recommend it.
