Azores Jeep Safari: Sete Cidades & Lagoa do Fogo Full-Day

This experience allowed us to see a good portion of this beautiful island by hitting many spots of interest. Sergio was an outstanding tour guide and very knowledgeable, as well as accommodating of any special requests. Definitely a must do when you’re only able to stay a few days on São Miguel.

Our group went on three tours while in Sao Miguel. Although all of them were 5 star, this one was the best. The sites were absolutely stunning and the off roading was fun. Our guide, Sergio, was excellent. He was accommodating and helpful. As other reviewers have mentioned, this tour is weather dependent. The weather changes frequently on the island and cloud cover could detract from the views. We had a clear day and Mother Nature cooperated so the sights were breathtaking. Don’t miss this tour on your vacation to Sao Miguel. It was amazing.

We had a great time exploring the rim of the crater in the Jeep. Roads are really bumpy but the views are amazing. Our guide Sergio was fantastic! Highly recommend!

Amazing experience and way to see the Azores! We had Eduardo as our guide and he was absolutely phenomenal, making the day a lot of fun while sharing his in-depth knowledge of the island and its history. He is one of the best guides I've ever had and really made the tour unforgettable. The sights were also beautiful and I'd definitely want to see them again or do a similar tour if I'm ever back here. Would absolutely recommend!

We had an absolutely amazing trip exploring Sao Miguel on our jeep tour with Sergio! From the moment we set off, his energy, humor, and deep knowledge of the island made the experience unforgettable. Sergio took us off the beaten path to hidden viewpoints, lush green valleys, and volcanic craters that looked straight out of a postcard. He shared fascinating stories about the island’s history, geology, and culture, and even managed to time our stops perfectly for the best weather and photo opportunities. Every turn revealed another breathtaking landscape — from Sete Cidades to Furnas. It was the perfect blend of adventure, learning, and fun — a day we’ll always remember

Mariano was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Enjoyed his driving skills. In spite of fog, Mariano made the day a success with stories and history. Liked the variety of stopping points on tour.

Mariano was an excellent guide offering insights about the island, life in the Azores and the sights on the tour. Enjoyed the off road experience and chance to see the lakes from up high. Lunch was a buffet with traditional food that was plentiful and varied. Would highly recommend

Our tour guide Eduardo was excellent! He was born and raised on this island and had lots of great stories and history to share. The weather wasn’t the best that day and he was able to offer different options to get the best experience and views. The lunch was delicious and was authentic local food. The jeep was comfortable and we had so much fun doing some off roading as well. Overall, I would recommend this tour to anyone!

I had 1 full day in Sao Miguel and it was well spent on this jeep tour. Our tour guide was Eduardo who is a native of the island, extremely passionate about his work and very knowledgeable. He was very personable and made sure our group had a good time regardless of the weather conditions. I highly recommend requesting Eduardo as your tour guide, you wont be disappointed!
