Turin's Best: Express Hop-On Hop-Off City Discovery Tour

I used all 3 routes in one day to enable me to see Turin and learn something of its history and people. Even though the frequency was not as high as I would have liked (maybe as it was off season) the longer routes enabled me to see more of Turin than I would otherwise have done. Had I been staying longer I would have had a wider choice of places to go after the tours. The timetables were accurate and it was easy to select the language of the tour.

The staff service is excellent; the bus runs on time. Hop on Hop Off is useful and interesting as a transportation service (great view and fun sitting on the second level) but it is not a good informative tour. You never actually see most of the places on the map you’re given (you only get to see the bus stop near the venues) and although the audio tour is interesting it often doesn’t relate to what you are seeing on the ride while listening..Watching YouTube videos would be much better for information but if you’re interested in getting to venues in a fun ride or just riding around in a new city, then yes, this is great.

The red line gives you the best idea of the centre of the city and the major attractions. Bus was clean and tidy, and seats were comfortable.

You see a lot of the city with the tour. We went on all the lines, they go all over the city. You see a lot.

The automated commentary did not correlate with the sites being seen. There was a lot of commentary about the royal Palace, but the bus hardly stopped at the palace and it wasn't even clear which building the palace was. The rest of the tour was pretty good

There are three lines, red, blue and green. Love this easy way to see around a city and get a feel for its history and layout. Wish there were more stops along the way, especially when it’s so hot.

Got a chance to see so much more of the city than I would have on my own. My saughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the pace and narration.

We got a 48 hour ticket for our three day stay in Turin. (Would have preferred 72 hours). The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was a nice way to see the city. Our only complaint was the tour commentary. It was often out of sync and we heard similar information on some of the routes. Often you couldn’t actually see what was being spoken about.

I enjoyed seeing the city of course, but there was not enough information about what we were passing through. I was hoping for a running commentary. There was no advance warning about hopping off points, so no time to decide whether to do it, or ask questions. The green route took us to the palace, but we only glimpsed it for a second through the trees - why couldn't we get close up and see the gardens? The whole thing felt very overpriced and impersonal. However, the guides were very nice. Perhaps they could have walked around and answered questions.
