I booked a 12 day tour of Egypt, including flights from the UK due the high ratings. The booking process was relatively easy and they quoted competitive prices for the flight and travel, but still >£3000 per person. The sales person was very helpful and then they have lots of different contacts that have different roles: Someone meets you in the terminal then a Tour Manager and for each area a Tour Guide. The tour manager meets you outside the terminal, comes with driver to accommodation and then the then the tour guide takes on the sightseeing. The first manager was young and very enthusiastic, but didn’t make sure that the information about logistics was clearly understood - he nearly sent us into the airport without confirming that we had the flight tickets! The first guide - Hedi- was excellent throughout Cairó. The second manager - Ali - in Luxor was very good with logistics, but only wanted to sell us a horse and cart option, which was not suitable for us at all especially since we got up at 2am to get to Luxor. The second guide, Ahmed, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, but lazy in that he wanted to do the minimum amount of time of walking with us, using the excuse of our own time, plus he spoke very fast as if he was trying to get through what he needed to say quickly. The balloon guide, Fawzy, was excellent and very knowledgable, careful and very effective in everything he did and said. The boat - the MS Salazcia - with 4 days on the Nile was a superb experience…the service is excellent, the rooms really comfortable, the food superb and the whole experience very wonderful, plus all the people on board fantastic Balloon trip was excellent, with a really good pilot and driver, although you do have to get up early! Ahmed Bahaa was our guide around Luxor, on a Nile Cruise and in Aswan.. He showed us around the Valley of the Kings, Edfo Temple and Aswan. It covered 3 days. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic in his description of places. His stories were long and detailed, clearly explaining what happened and why it happened. Initially he was a bit ill, so he talked fast and gave us quite a bit of time for us to explore by ourselves, since I think he wanted to reduce the amount of time walking with us. The second day he felt better, and talked a bit slower. On the third day, he was even sharper and better. We then flew via Cairo to Sharm El Sheikh for 3 days including 2 boat trips to snorkel. It took us a whole day and 2 internal flights, with a 5 hour wait in Cairo airport which felt frustrating - we were told by the guide afterwards that there was a hotel we could have gone to at the airport - but nobody told us! Ahmed, the Guide was helpful. A bit reactive as we had to wait to be picked up from the trip to Tiran by boat: Hotel: La Jolie Resort & Casino - nice location. Booked a deluxe room. 1st room we were given was 2 single beds, bathroom smelt, telephone didn’t work. I complained to our tour guide who rented for us to go to a different part of the resort with much newer rooms and much quieter. The room was better and also breakfast was much easier since there weren’t anything like the same number of rude Russians barging their way around the buffet at the Orangerie. We even were given a bowl of fruit! The room was much further away from the beach. The beach is bigger than the rest of the other private parts of the beach but still crowded and noisy. You have to get to the beach early to reserve a sunlounger, despite the signs. You need a towel card to get a towel. You can buy beer and wine at the bars there but they are twice s expensive as the shops and 4x on the beach bar. Overall a pleasant stay, with nice staff, but it is full of Russians who don’t seem to have any manners or pleasantry and make it a pretty unwelcoming feel which is unfortunate. Overall a very well organised trip and generally very helpful staff. We effectively had very personal treatment and felt very privileged have guides for just the 2 of us when other groups were very large. We were told that tipping was normal and gave us a guide on what to tip who….and it did seem we were tipping all the time and having to go to ATMs to get money to tip! Remember to budget for it!

Since the planing of the trip I felt supported with the high level of professionalism. The guides Seif, Youssef and Ihab are great and generous people who cared for our well being and experience. I highly recommend Memphis tour.

BOOK WITH MEMPHIS ASAP. Do not hesitate, they are the BEST service I've EVER worked with. Starting from the beginning... I wanted to take a YOLO solo trip to Egypt (an absolute dream of mine since I was a child) and booked my hotel through Chase points literally a week before the trip. I stayed at the Four Seasons First Residence and messaged the concierge for private tour recos. They directed me to Memphis Tours. Within a few hours, I was chatting with Fatima at Memphis and shared my ideal itinerary and she put together options, costs and timing very quickly. I had 5 days, 6 nights in Egypt and wanted to do A LOT. Once we confirmed my itinerary, Fatima sent me a link for payment. TBH, it seemed a little bit sketchy, as it didn't seem like a verified payment site, but after confirming on TA and through the hotel that that was normal, I was ready to book. Fatima put me in contact with my on the ground tour manager, Ahmed Kassab. Ahmed was SUPER responsive (the man never sleeps lol) and kind from the jump. My first evening, Ahmed picked me up with a driver and took me on a Felucca cruise at sunset on the Nile. Great experience and great chats with Ahmed. He recommended an AMAZING restaurant in Zamalek, Abou El Sid. My next day was a tour of the Pyramids and the brand new Grand Egyptian Museum. I was picked up by my tour guide, Nesreen Mahmoud. NESREEN IS AN ANGEL FROM HEAVEN. Not only EXTREMELY knowledgeable, she was SOOOOO kind and genuine. I truly cannot rave enough about her. She was caring, smart, funny, introspective, literally every good adjective I could say. She was family by the end of the tour. Also, my god, the pyramids and the new GEM are STUNNING! Dream achieved. The next day, Nesreen picked me up and went to the Citadel and Muhammed Ali mosque - my first time in a mosque and Nesreen shared so much information about the Islamic faith and history of Arabic influence in Egypt. We then went to the Bazaar and did some shopping and grabbed Turkish coffee at the oldest cafe in Cairo. Followed by a trip to the Egyptian Civilization Museum where all of the mummies are displayed (don't miss this!). We had lunch and then I sadly had to say goodbye to Nesreen. Right before sunset I did an ATV tour around the pyramids. Holy sh*t that was the coolest experience EVER, just make sure you bring a mask or buy a scarf there :) My last day with Memphis, Ahmed picked me up from my hotel at 3am (see above never sleeping) for my domestic flight and day tour to Luxor. I landed in Luxor at 6am and was picked up by Waled and then another Ahmed (Luxor Ahmed, grew up in Luxor and knew EVERYTHING about it) took me around to some of the most STUNNING sites in Egypt: Karnak, Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's Temple, the best lunch I had in Egypt at the Marsam Hotel (it's like a Tuscan Villa with camels :), Habu Temple (this was extra, but amazing) and then ended at a hotel on the Nile and I grabbed a bottle of wine and watched the sunset while I waited for my flight and pick up from Ahmed in Cairo. I cannot say enough about my experience, honestly. I work in client services myself, so I know the difference when someone's heart is into it and I can tell you FOR sure, everyone at Memphis DEEPLY cares. Also, people say that you'll get scammed and harassed in Egypt, but I felt safe and protected by the tour leaders because they knew everyone and no one was going to scam me. The knowledge, passion, dedication to communication and friendliness really set them apart and made my trip an experience of a lifetime. I now have lifelong friends in Nesreen and Ahmed and can't wait to return. Last thing, for 4 days of private solo touring and excursions, lunches/water whenever needed and straight up peace of mind, the pricing was extremely reasonable. Make sure you tip your guides!!!

We were in Cairo for 4 days of private tour and Dr Mohamed Youssef from Memphis Tour was our tour guide. He has a doctor’s degree in Archaeology and is super knowledgeable about the Egyptian history and culture for all the places that we visited. He also recommended reputable places for us to dine, shop, and browse. Very professional and highly trustworthy. Our driver Islam was incredibly safe and smooth in navigating through the super challenging and chaotic Cairo traffic. We also took a day trip to visit Alexandria that was 3 hrs away. Through all four days I felt extremely comfortable and secure with Islam behind the wheel. Islam’s car is super clean, much better than my own car back in the US, which is so amazing in a dusty city like Cairo. Memphis Tour as a tour company is very professional and thorough/personal with their service, from booking to airport pickup/dropoff and daily arrangements. Everything was managed professionally and communicated clearly. The schedule was designed according to our liking with attention to every detail. I would recommend it to everyone I love for their visits to Egypt.

Great tour company; right on time all of the time and with true tour professionals taking you trough the history of Egypt step by step. Their vehicles are impecable and you feel backed up my their managing team all of the time. You feel pampered from the minute you are picked up until they drop you off.

We booked the 12 day tour for our entire stay in Egypt and it was amazing. Egypt was on our bucket list for a long time and we hesitated due to the stories we hear and see online but this year we decided to go! (a friend has recently returned and raved about it). We did some research and saw Memphis Tours had a lot of great reviews so we put our trust in the process and we were not disappointed. We sent an email to Memphis and from there, everything was smooth and so easy. Eman (our travel consultant) planned the itinerary with us and kept us updated and well informed. As soon as we landed we got a WhatsApp message from a representative/tour leader and she met us inside the airport and escorted us through customs (so easy). We spent time in Cairo visiting historical sites and the GEM. Then we flew to Aswan (we always had a representative pick us up and meet us at pick up points, very easy). We spent a few days in Aswan visiting sites (Abu Simbel was beautiful but the journey was hard haha 3 hrs one way and 4am start) then boarded the DWA Nile Cruise, this was our accomodation and main transport through to Luxor, disembarking each day to travel to the historical sites we had planned. Our journey through to Luxor was probably the highlight of the trip, there was so many beautiful sites to see and we are still in awe at how everything still stands today, big and bright colours. Our Tour guides were amazing too, kept everything light and fun and respected our time and boundaries too. The only thing that we found difficult was the heat especially given a lot of the sites are outdoors so majority of the time was standing in the scorching sun so if you do plan on visiting (and you should!) plan to go at their cooler months, we went on October and it was 30-40s everyday but felt much hotter. A lot of people say that Egypt has a lot of scammers and vendors that hassle you and that has ruined their trip. Being apart of a tour group we felt completely safe, we were prepared and aware of our surroundings. Say no and keep moving. Simple things such as someone offering to take photos for you, say no, otherwise expect to be hassled for payment after. We ended our trip in Hurghada for a few nights before returning home. We booked a snorkelling experience (first time) and was a little disappointed that we did not see much bright coral or fishes but other than that, it was a great experience overall. For anyone still sitting on the fence about visit Egypt, don't be and book that trip! We can now say, you have nothing to be worried about. Thank you Memphis Tours for looking after us, we fell in love with Egypt and wish we were still there!

Ibrahim our guide in Cairo has been excellent. Domestic transfer to Luxor due to the airport congestion at the control area was simply terrifying ! Never more ! Useless to fly to Luxor so early in the morning , when we arrived we stayed more than 24 hrs on the ship stopped in the port. The sailing is very often over night, thus not good for the view of the panorama. In Aswan your responsible Emad did not appear at all , no assistance given to us despite it was ensured in the program. Not acceptable the choice of not visiting the new museum in Cairo, we visited the old one ! The Sonesta Moon Goddes was not as good as we expected. We rate Nouran Ahmed your sales rep very good for her availability and kindness, but something in the program was certainly not very well done (ie. domestic flights timing, new museum in Cairo missing etc.)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Egypt and Dubai. The Nile cruise was beyond expectations. The boat was clean and safe and the crew were very supportive and customer friendly. The food was delicious as well. The tours through Egypt and Dubai were all wonderful. The tour guides were so knowledgeable and informative. They went out of their way to make our stay delightful.

Egypt was a great experience. Definitely recommend Memphis Tour. Mustafa Rafat, Ahmed Helal, and our driver Hosny were very attentive and professional. We did not have any inconvenience with any of the tours, pick up and drop off times. Everything went smoothly. I’m glad I booked the trip with Memphis Tour.

⸻ 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A Trip of a Lifetime with Memphis Tours Traveling through Egypt with Memphis Tours was honestly one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we landed to the moment we left, everything was handled with such care, professionalism, and warmth. We felt safe, cared for, and like every detail of our trip truly mattered to them. ⸻ ✨ Standout People Who Made Our Trip Unforgettable Kero – Tour Coordinator (Cairo) Kero was our first point of contact and immediately set the tone with his warm welcome and exceptional service. He was so detail-oriented and responsive.. He was prompt, professional, and made us feel protected the entire time. Monica – Tour Coordinator (Cairo) We only met Monica briefly, but she left such a lasting impression. She is the only female tour coordinator at Memphis, and she was so professional, friendly, and warm. She even recommended some amazing local food spots that made us feel like we were experiencing Egypt through the eyes of a friend. Tarique – Tour Guide (Cairo) We have traveled all over the world, and Tarique is hands-down one of the best guides we’ve ever had. His knowledge of history and archaeology is simply incredible, and he has such a calm, pleasant personality. He never rushed us or pressured us into shopping; instead, he focused on sharing the rich details of Egyptian history and giving us space to soak it all in. He’s the type of guide who gives you information in layers—covering the essentials first, then the fascinating small details, and then letting you enjoy at your own pace. We loved every moment with him. Zakaria – Tour Guide Zakaria was another gem—so kind, caring, and thoughtful. He constantly looked out for us, reminding us to be careful when getting in and out of boats, always making sure we were safe and comfortable. His affectionate and professional approach made us feel like we were traveling with family. Amar – Tour Coordinator (Aswan) Amar was excellent—super professional, attentive, and prompt. We had a tricky situation at a shop we visited with a guide, and when we told Amar, he took immediate action—no hesitation—and got our money back Everything in Aswan ran smoothly thanks to him, and he made us feel completely at ease. ⸻ 💎 Overall Experience Memphis Tours deserves a full 5 stars. Their level of organization, their clean and comfortable vehicles, their warm and knowledgeable staff, and above all, their genuine care for travelers made this journey extraordinary. It wasn’t just a tour—it was a deeply personal, beautifully guided experience that we will carry in our hearts forever. Every single person we met with Memphis Tours went above and beyond. If you’re considering Egypt, don’t think twice—Memphis Tours will make sure your trip is unforgettable. ⸻ Would you like me to also shorten this into a punchy TripAdvisor-style review (2–3 short paragraphs) that still highlights the key people, so it’s more likely others will read it fully?
