November 1, 2025: Everything started off fine, we were having a great time, but then the motor of our boat, aptly named "Titanic" died halfway way thru the 1 hour cruise, and we were forced to abandon ship early. By abandon ship I mean the captain was able to get the boat over to the side of the canal and we climbed out on to the street. And that was it..... Just dropped off in the street. I think some kind of compensation would have been appropriate considering the inconvenience and failure to complete the tour we paid for. That said, perhaps we should never have expected to complete the cruise when getting into a boat literally named "Titanic".

A great way to get to know Amsterdam from the canals. Dean was funny and informative ať the same time. Would definitely recommend.

Is was a nice cruise with lots of cheese and wine flowing. But somewhat of a disappointment because it said the cruise would view Anne Franks house the Rijk museum and more famous sites. It did not and only took us for a shorter cruise around the the larger canal near the central train station and back. Skipped all the intimate canals. Very little history of Amsterdam was told but a lot of rider introductions were asked about. I wanted to know more about the city history and less about the people on board. It was more of a booze cruise

a good tour, the guide jack was very knowledgeable about amsterdam, the trip lasts an hour, the guide tells you about the history of Amsterdam and where the name of Amsterdam came from.

Nice trip through the canals. Although the boarding was slightly chaotic due to multiple tours leaving at the same time, once aboard the staff was excellent and attentive regarding food and beverage. They were also provided some nice historical facts about the city.

Royal Caribbean “Liberty of the Seas” New England/Canadian Cruise Departing 10/16-25/25 to Boston, Portland, Sidney, Halifax and St. John (395065510; Reservation: 6334439) Food: Excellent food quality, , good variety and first class service Cabin: Roomy and clean cabin with balcony and prompt cleaning service. Entertainment: The shows in the main theater presented singers (Witney Houston and Adele songs) and trios who were awful, often due to the audio system’s loud and muddled presentation and the low talents; However, the Saturday Night Fever Musical and the Ice Shows were spectacular and could rival anything we’ve seen in New York. Better to try the lounge shows especially the Latino music at the Boleros Lounge. Excursions/Tours: The “walking tours” were mostly a joke. We were rushed and paid too much for very little. At one point we forced the “guide” in Halifax to slow down for the elderly people trying to keep up. He never stopped to point out anything, but rather moved us through like cattle speaking on a “Mr. Microphone” type speaker while trucks and cars ran along side our group. The single exception was the Portland guide who took his time with the tour to explain the sights. Tips: “Walking” tours were generally disappointing. Best to go out on your own. In Boston, take a taxi to the Freedom trail rather than pay for overpriced transport to City. In Sidney, just walk off the boat into a charming little town on your own. In Halifax, taxi into the city and enjoy the sights. In Portland the walking tour along commercial harbor boulevard is worth doing and return on your own for food along the harbor. Boones has great food. Entertainment on the Boat. Choose wisely where you want to spend your time. Lounge shows are often where the talented performers are working If you smoke, this is not the ship for you. Although they permit you to smoke on the port side of deck 4 and 11, you are “at sea” 3 days/nights and they often close those decks for bad weather. The casino allows cigarettes smoking but then you end up gambling.
