1. Vjetrenica Cave is a karst cave located in the village of Zavala in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The cave has a total length of 7,425 meters, but only 1,500 meters are open to the public. It is known for its numerous chambers and passages, as well as its unique underground water system. In addition to its geological significance, Vjetrenica Cave also has a rich biodiversity with over 200 animal species, including rare and endemic ones. The cave was also used as a hideout during wars and conflicts throughout history.
