Victoria Falls Edge: Exclusive Devil's Pool & Island Tour

Amazing - very safe - amazing guides - couldn't fault anything or anyone... Loved the boat ride and the pool and the food!

We had a trip cancelled and decided to do the devils pools with an afternoon tea. We were picked up from the hotel and were taken to a small landing to pick the boat up, where you were supplied with towels and pool shoes. It was a lovely boat ride to an island, there were all ages on the boat so as long as you are fairly agile, it’s for any age, we are 64 and there were people older than us. The guys were extremely competent and extremely good at what they do. You had to walk across some rocks to get to the pools. It was really scary but also one of the best things we have done, to be at the top of the falls, where you could literally just look over the edge, it was amazing, you had a chance to hang over the edge, which my husband and friend’s did, I wasn’t so brave. You had a chance of also swimming on the way back. We then had an afternoon tea, with wine ect round a big table, so great chatting to others. I really recommend it if you are there at the right time of year.

It was absolutely great! We enjoyed it so much, so fun, so very beautiful, so exciting and so thrilling! Before we started we were a bit nervous, but when we started the walking and swimming in the water - all the anxiety disappeared and we were totally just happy! All the staff was great, helpful, skilled, profs, happy and always smiling! The safety level was high and we felt 100% secure throughout the whole experience! When we came back, they served us a really great well tasting breakfast! Coordination of transports, immigration etc worked very well. It is good to know that the tour company provides the participants with towels. Ewen though this tour is quite expensive, we were (after the tour) absolutely convinced it was worth every penny!! Brilliant from start to finish. Staff friendly, welcoming, and professional. Boat trip to the Falls was beautiful. Fabulous to be able to explore the edge of the Falls from the Zambian side (with close supervision, of course!). Angels Pool was lots of fun, and the lunch was delicious. Highly recommend.

Being on the edge of a very tall and power eater is a great experience and the team is very professional. So no complaints. But of course this nothing more than a very expensive photoshoot experience, where one tourist follows the other without much time to enjoy or relax. Also one of the most expensive activity in the area for the value. But having that in mind, I think it’s possible to enjoy.

Once we were on the boat to the pool, it was a great experience. The guides were very helpful and attentive, ensuring we made our way through the river and across the rocks, to the pool safely. They allowed each member of the group to have lots of time on the edge of the falls, taking lots of photos and videos for us. One note, the fish in the pool do nip quite a bit. The breakfast was very good. The check in experience was a bit disorganised. The bad part of the experience was provided by a separate company - Tamuka Travel, who were responsible for getting us to the starting point. We received no pick up instructions - I sent messages via TripAdvisor and WhatsApp which were ignored. I then telephoned Tamuka and was advised that the pick up time was 7:30am for a 9:00am tour, I restated the time to double-check and Tamuka confirmed the pick up time was correct. Unsurprisingly, our transport did not arrive at 7:30am and we received some assistance from another operator who contacted Tamuka and he gave us a new pick up time of 8:45am, which eventually arrived at 9:10am. We were then driven to the border and told to wait for Tamuka as he wanted to speak to us. When he arrived he said he wanted an extra US$20 per person transport cost to continue, although I explained I had checked this with TripAdvisor who had confirmed all costs were included in the price I had already paid. The whole transport arrangements seemed very disorganised with a lack of communication, which was also the experience of other members of the group.

It was great. Such an adrenaline rush. The only thing that I would improve would be the communication around pick up and drop off. It was unclear what time I had to be ready by and my driver wasn't waiting for me afterwards. I went with other people I met on thr tour and got back to the hotel that way.

OMG if you get the opportunity to visit Victoria Falls this trip is a must! From being picked up to being dropped off the service was fantastic. The guide explains exactly the itinerary, there are life guards to support you as it’s very slippery & rocky but worth it for the views! The guide takes hundreds of pictures on your phone & during your swim your personal belongings are safely locked away. Breakfast is of super quality & quantity. Please make sure you have you $20 pp for the xfer & €20 pp for the taxes at the border all in cash… amazing experience!

This was sensational. The views were of course amazing, but the service and care we received from the team on ground was fantastic. Would definitely do this again
