Marrakech to Erg Chigaga: Private Sahara Odyssey (4-Day)

Pickup was very punctual. The car was clean, comfortabel and modern. Had many opportunities for coffee, toilet and photo stops and if we would have asked probably anytime we wanted to. We were always given the choice on how (and how long) to use our lunchbreak. Our guide and driver, Abdul was always ready to help and accomodate our needs and is a good and calm driver. All in all it was a great experience. As this is one of the few tours which offers more than just 3 days it's definitely worth it.

If you can afford it, take the 4-day lux trip and enjoy the real Sahara at Erg Chigaga. The other 3 day tours is pretty much “you expending 90% on the road” with a bunch of others and going to the tourist traps at every stop the driver will decide to take you. Erg Chebbi is the largest dunes in Morocco, there you will hear the true silence and walking on the soft sand and espectacular views is a unique experience. Our driver Hamid was very attentive to our experience and needs all the time. He is very knowledgeable and he grew up on Sahara and knows lot of the culture and can make your tour a learning experience. If I would do it again I would go with same company. Hotel reservations and arrangements were done as planned, I felt Hamid was a personal concierge helping in any needs we had. Thanks for the great experience !!!

We had a very great trip with Ahmed! He showed us beautiful locations on our way to Sahara and knows a lot. He is fluent in English and French. We were very happy to have booked his private tour with 4x4 and private accommodation. It is really worth the money so we can recommend to everyone. We would like to go back to see more of Morocco and would book a tour with Ahmed again!

It was a lovely experience visiting the desert and few other places with these guys. They were so welcoming and made sure that the family and kids are comfortable. They were on time and made our journey a pleasant one. We received as how it was promised. Right from the pick up from airport to drop off these guys did an amazing job. Highly trustable and reliable.

This was an incredible adventure made all the more possible by our incredible tour guide, Hamid. Friendly, experienced, and accommodating, he perfectly understood what sort of experiences we were after and catered to them as soon as we set off - I'm a keen photographer and he made sure to stop at various photo stops along the way, as well as some off-the-beaten-track locations and local artesian towns that were the real deal. His local knowledge made all the difference too, making the fact that while yes, there was a decent amount of driving, it didn't feel long at all thanks to Hamid :) As for the tour itself, it was brilliantly spaced out and the journey was great. The desert was a real highlight, and we were lucky to have the camp to ourselves and were able to spend some genuine downtime away from all distractions in complete peace. It was also a stunningly beautiful location, and waking up to see the sun rise is something I'd definitely recommend. All in all, an amazing journey and an incredible recommendation for our driver Hamid!

Fantastic tour with door to door service, excellent driving skills, enjoyable conversation and high quality hotels. Hamid was our driver and he was wonderful - good company, extremely knowledgeable and knew all the best places to stop including accommodating our specific preferences such as avoiding shopping.

We are a group of 3 Portuguese friends, that went to Marrakech for 4 days. At the beginning we were reluctant having a tour guide, but honestly it was the best thing we've done. First of all Marrakech is not a city that is easy for girls to by themselves. Then, Hamid is the best tour guide you could ever have. You may have a plan made by him or just let him know what you want to do and he will organize all the experience for you. With Hamid you always feel safe, he was always available for us and at the same time he knows how and when to give you space. Our trip was during Eid Mubarak, an important religious holiday for Muslims, so Hamid was careful planning our trip so we could do the maximum things possible. It was a really nice experience and if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have done so many things. I plan to come back, with more time, and I will contact Hamid again, for sure. He is a trustful and respectful guy, that knows his country like no-one does. Thank you for everything Hamid!

The tour was truly amazing, it offered everything we had hoped for and more. Abdul, our driver, was a friendly, happy and helpful tour guide. He made us feel welcome from the very start of the trip and was more than happy to answer questions and offer advice as we drove around. He often checked in with us to make sure we were ok and offered to take pictures of us in key locations. He even made sure that on my girlfriends birthday a cake was available at short notice (cooked fresh in the middle of the Sahara desert!) Each stop on the route offered its own unique experience and together it made the trip truly memorable. It is worth noting that there is a lot of driving, but this is to be expected when you are expecting to see so much and plenty of stops are included along the way. The highlight for us was the night in the desert (Erg Chigaga), the camel ride out to the sand dunes to watch the sunset, followed by dinner and songs around the camp fire. Something we will remember for a long time to come.

Hamid is a wonderful and safe driver. He was very attentive to all my needs. Whatever I wanted to do, he made it happen. And he was always smiling and anxious to please. I couldn't recommend him highly enough.
