Franz Josef Glacier: Breathtaking Heli-Flight & Snow Landing

Absolutely loved the experience. Friendly helpful staff (I called in at 9:15 to see if we could fly at 10:30 - which we could). Fantastic flight with great views and a landing on the glacier couldn’t recommend it enough.

When the weather is great, this is a must do activity in Franz Joseph. We really had an awesome experience and felt super safe during the entire flight.

Although we did t get to land our pilot was very nice came out to us and explained that we would not be landing on the snow due to weather and that if we choose to cancel we could get a full refund we chose to still fly and get a half refund the snow and glacier was well worth it next time hopefully we will get to land would book with the same company

This experience is truly one of a kind! We loved every minute of it. The scenery is just unreal and we got very lucky with the weather. 5/5!

This by far was the standout experience for us traveling to New Zealand. The staff were friendly, professional and very welcoming! Our pilot Tom had a wonderful knowledge of the glacier and gave us an unforgettable experience. YOU HAVE TO DO THIS!!!!

Unfortunately due to bad weather we were unable to experience our Glacier Helicopter Adventure in Franz Josef on either days we were staying there Friday booking 16/05/25 or Saturday 17/05/25.:: just waiting on our refund now. We realise we cannot change the weather and although disappointed we understand safety comes first Kind regards Rebecca Harris

It was an incredible experience, I’d definitely recommend it. Everything was seamless. The online booking, the confirmations and prompts to check in, check weather etc. We were wary of cloud getting worse as the day went on so arrived at the office as soon as we got into town and the lovely lady at the counter accommodated getting us on a flight straight away (1.5 hours before our booking time). We were so grateful and had a spectacular trip! Simon our pilot was very nice and happy to share his wealth of knowledge and the views were spectacular!!!

We were kindly moved to a later flight when the early morning weather was against us. The pilot was competent, friendly and helpful inspiring confidence. The view was spectacular, the landing on glacier was soft and we had a great time.

Highly recommend this tour, the views from Fran Josef were amazing. Getting the opportunity to Snow land by helicopter was something I will always remember - tick off from the bucket list.
