Cola de Caballo Waterfalls: Unforgettable Guided Escape!

Very, very beautiful! There is a horse carriage option for an extra cost, but it is an easy walk up to the fall. They also have a zip line and bungee jump activity you can do at an extra cost. Lot of snack, drinks and souvenir stands. (All affordable so please don’t try to negotiate when they’re trying to make a living).

The weather was perfect! Our guide Francisco picked us up and we were off for the most picturesque tour we have experienced since arriving in Monterrey. Villa de Santiago was a beautiful town with, friendly people, colorful yet authentic houses. The Cola de Caballo waterfalls were breathtaking and we took many photos to reminisce about later. You get to spend time in of both areas which is nice. Francisco made sure we had all the right pictures and gave us plenty of information on the tour. We took time to enjoy every moment. Fairly easy hike and very beautiful! Our guide, Johnathon, felt like hanging out with a friend and we had a great time! He got snacks and drinks for us too, which was unexpected and appreciated! It was just the 3 of us, which again, we enjoyed that aspect of not bussing in with a bunch of other people. Not sure if that’s normal or not…all in all a great way to spend a good part of the day!

Francisco Picasso was amazing! He was knowledgeable and took his time on our tour. He knew all the best spots for pictures and was able to answer all of our questions and more. 10/10 recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10! Juan Velazco is an absolute treasure. He was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and made sure we were taken care of at all times. He even accommodated our service dog with ease. Juan took amazing photos of us at every location and shared so much of Monterrey's rich history. We’d definitely book him for all the other tours offered. Highly recommend!

The tour guide seemed unprepared. Had to stop for fuel for his vehicle. He did not appear to be happy with the task of guiding my wife and me. No drinks were provided. Small vehicle and somewhat difficult to get in and out.

Our guides went above and beyond to make us feel special! I had inadvertently given a wrong address and they found where we really were with minimal effort. We had good conversation on the way to the water falls. Alejandra was very knowledgeable about the area. The falls were beautiful and relaxing. Next time I would go on a less busier day though. We went on a Saturday. We never felt pressure to go to the next venue and they made sure we were done with our exploration before we moved on. We had lunch in Santiago village and saw a couple of sites. So much history!! On our way back to the place we stayed, they took a detour to the bus station so we could get tickets to our next destination. They really went above and beyond.

Our guide Abram was really friendly, personal and we had excellent conversations. He drove a nice car for my Mexican lady friend and me and we took our time to take lots of photos. It was a gorgeous day, not too hot, not to chilly and the nature was really strikingly beautiful. Cascades always calm me down, the slow flow of fresh water, so such a beautiful day, also walking around a little village later. I would go again to another nature destination.

Hector was awesome guide. he was helpful , knowledgeable and friendly. He made our trip super enjoyable and fun.
