Travel back in time with this excursion to Ephesus from Izmir. You will tour the vestiges of one of the most surprising ancient cities in the Eastern Mediterranean. We will pick you up at the indicated hotel at 8:00 am and travel in a comfortable minibus to Ephesus, an ancient city located on the Ionia coast. After a trip of an hour and a half, we will reach the site of Ephesus, one of the great tourist attractions in Turkey, since it is one of the best preserved Greco-Roman cities in the country. Once there, we will take a guided tour of Ephesus to see some of its monumental jewels, such as the Library of Celsus, one of the most luxurious bibliographic archives of the Roman Empire in the Eastern Mediterranean. Nearby we will find the Roman Theater. Did you know that it had a capacity for 24,000 people? It is impressive! After the visit of Ephesus, we take a lunch. On the other hand, you will also have traditional shopping opportunities for jewelry, leather, or ceramic centers.

Erman, our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and guided the tour in a well paced and engaging fashion. Ephesus is remarkable and no photo will ever do it justice but understanding the history with the beauty is humbling! The entire day is well constructed and makes it a seamless experience for a traveler. We can’t recommend this enough!

Alpi, our guide, was very spirited, nice and knowledgeable. You felt like listening to him was optional, and that you could explore on your own, but you really didn't want to because he was such a knowledgeable and great guide! Overall the tour was good. Lunch was nice, the stops were fine, and the length everywhere was good too. I could have done without the extra stops at local shops, but thats just me and I know its a part of the experience. 10/10 guide. 9/10 tour. 7/10 itinerary.

Overall a well organized tour. Tour agency and tour guide Erman got in touch the night before, confirming pickup location and time. Communication is very efficient and Erman is knowledgable and accommodating. Note there're two shopping stops but would recommend overall.

Alpi did a great job presenting everything in an informative and engaging manner. The amount of time spent at each site was perfect. My pick-up and drop-off at the airport was seamless and right on time.
