Unforgettable Alexandria: Cairo Day Trip to Egypt's Coastal Gem

First of all we booked a trip to Alexandria and we selected not only the car. We selected the car + guide + entrance fees. We paid 180 dollars, but believe me. This tour with the attractions and go to Alexandria and come back is only 7 hours maximum. With all the breaks. The entrance fees are very cheap, and the guide we had didn't know so much Spanish, niether tell you a lot of information about the places. We seems like begginer. So in conclusion we paid a lot extra for nothing. The quality price isn't good. If you want this tour I recommend to book only the car 60 dollars. Better... Alexandria is not big thing. But if you wanna see it, do that.

Pros: on time and good communication on pick up. Nice and friendly guide. The library in Alexandria was cool to see. Cons: the tour guide didn’t provide us with much information.

We did the guided tour from Cairo to Alexandria and everything was so well taken care of. The driver was on time at our hotel, could communicate well in English and the drive was smooth and safe. We met our guide of the day in Alexandria and she was also so nice and took care of us. Communication with the tour operator was amazing. Well recommended!

We had an excellent day trip to Alexandria, it was made more special and fun by Hady our driver, who was very thoughtful, knowledgeable and funny, he made the journey enjoyable and no pressure on time at the sites we visited. We went to the Citadel of Qaitbay which had wonderful coastal views of Alexandria. The mosque we visited was under restoration at the time but very beautiful from the outside. The library is very interesting it’s not just a library but holds museum exhibitions and historical artefacts. The catacombs are also interesting, much larger than you think and deep underground. You also see some Greek ruins with a large amphitheater. A great day out.

Our experience was excellent especially with our guide who was very knowledgeable and patient. Our driver was also very good. The entire was enjoyable. The library of Alexandria was exceptional - needed more time to see other parts but was good.

It is not a 10-hour tour, so there is no need to be picked up at your hotel at 6 am! I was home before 3 pm and that was enough. My driver and guide were simply marvellous. Very knowledgeable guide and when I got home to help write my diary I got onto Wikipedia and learned a lot more. A very worthwhile day spent.

It was a beautiful, well thought out experience and Reem who was our guide was very informative, friendly and a joy to be around. Highly would recommend this tour with Reem.

As lucky to have a great guide who was very interested in showing his country and talking about culture and traditions. He also gave us time to explore in our own and no pressure to buy during the shop stops. They are pretty typical in most countries so I wasn’t bothered.

Amazing day trip! The pick up and drop off worked very smoothly and the guide was so informative and friendly. Alexandria - a really incredible city. This tour took in all the key sights and we even stopped for a traditional Egyptian lunch. Highly recommend.
