Private Alexandria Day Trip: Cairo's Coastal History Unveiled

From being picked up timely at our hotel to the very onset of the tour our tour guide gave us an incredible tour of Alexandria. From the Catacombs to the Amphitheatre to the Library, stopping for an incredible Kosher Lunch and finally finishing up any the Citadel. We never once felt rushed in fact it so much walking without an stress giving so much additional roaming time at each stop. This a must stop on your visit to Cairo.

The day trip to Alexandroa from Cairo was a bit hectic but worthwhile. The Catacombs, the Alexandria Library and the Citidel were the highlights. The guide gave a good explanation of the sites and the lunch was great in a resturant on the water.

Great safe driver. Our private tour was not private. The guide did not answer our questions. Difficult to understand his English.

Great one day trip to Alexandria from Cairo! Reem was the best guide you can ask for. We were able to hit up all the important sites with no rush and plenty time to explore. bElel was my driver. Great driver. Safe and courteous.

The day trip to Alexandria was a success. Mahmoud was a great safe driver, a friendly conversationalist w/ both of us sometimes using a Translator and he even helped me make a detour to currency exchange afterwards (much appreciated). Neerma (spelling?), the expert guide, was very knowledgeable, provided time for me to wander the sites independently, and was very personable. All in all - a great fun and educational way to spend the day.

Please be sure to read all the reviews because I didn’t not (just seen almost 5 stars) but normally I do. My ride started off ok. The driver was on time which I seen is a problem per the reviews. He stopped for coffee then took a 20min break which is unprofessional and inconsiderate of my time as a paying customer. When we got back on the road he began to drive extremely fast. I looked to see how fast he was going and he was at 180kph. When I did the conversion to mph we were going 111 mph. I asked him to slow down (which he did) and not go over 120 (which is 74 mph) . Nesria who was my tour guide was exceptional. She’s very informative and detailed when giving information. If it wasn’t for the driver putting my life at risk this could have been 5 stars.

My family and I were looking forward for this trip. Carim the tour guide gave us a lot of history information about this city. Whalid the driver made us feel safe in the car during our trip. We really enjoyed this tour.

I had a fantastic tour to Alexandria by my awesome guide Robert! He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, full of information on the locations we visited while there (Roman Catacombs, Mosque, Qaitbay Citadel, Roman bath and arts ruins and the Library of Egypt)

Great way to observe daily living to and from Cairo plus see sites of Alexandria in a day. The catacombs are amazing plus library and waterfront was great to visit.
