Sayed Amin was the best guide! He gave us a full history of the pyramids and surrounding areas. I would definitely recommend him.

Amina was a wonderful tour guide. She was very honest and when some of our activities were not as expensive as other options, she let us know so we could add extra things. The only thing that I'm not sure how we missed on our research, was that there are zero bones in the catacombs besides a few in a display of horses. It was still very interesting and fascinating. We enjoyed the tour very much.

This tour was the perfect way to begin our trip to Egypt. We were picked up at our hotel on time and we had both a driver (I’m sorry I forget your name!!!) and a qualified Egyptologist with us for the whole excursion. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Sharif! He was so passionate about Egyptian history and his country and answered any and all questions we had regarding our tour stops and Egyptian life in general. He was extremely knowledgeable and had no issues sharing information at every site we went to. He went above and beyond when it came to our requests and our embracing of ‘egyptian time’. Our stops: 1. Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa 2. Pompey’s Pillar 3. The Citadel of Qaitbay 4. Library of Alexandria We also stopped for an amazing lunch near the Citadel. Highly recommend this tour and can’t give enough stars for Sharif!

Very good option to visit Alexandria in one day. Driver picked me up . He didnt speak english but was very friendly and made everything to make me feel confortable. Tour guide very knowledgeable but not friendly and hard to communicate in english

I booked this trip last minute at the end of an Egypt trip with a major international touring company because they did not have enough people who wanted to extend their trip with an extra day to Alexandria. I can't say enough how Ahmed (driver) and Eslam (tour director) went out of their way to make sure that I had a wonderful experience. Compared to the "large touring company" guide, Eslam was every bit as informative and knowledgeable, and knew all the best spots to see, dine, grab a turkish coffee, and do so safely. Of the seven offerings, we visited the catacombs, Pompey's pillar, the Fort of Qaitbay, and we even went "off the list" to St Marks Coptic Church (at my special request). We also planned to go to the new Alexandria library, but by time we had seen all the above, and had lunch, it was closed. Lunch was at a wonderful seafood restaurant on the bayside called The Fishmarket. I give these guys a 10 out of 10! Really special day.

My complaint about this tour is that we did not get what was advertised on the Viator website. The description on the site is that you get to choose 4 activities from a list and entrance fees are included. It also says that lunch is included. The tour we got included only 3 activities and we were told of we wanted to do any more we had to pay the entrance fee. Also lunch was not included and we were taken to a restaurant where our guide arranged for a set meal for us. She then paid the bill and said we could reimburse her. We were told the cost was $30 per person which would be a very expensive lunch in Egypt. So we did not get what we thought we were paying for when we booked the tour.

Tony is a friendly, knowledgeable and genuine tour guide. He told me lots of fascinating information. The driver was great too. I felt safe and welcome.

As a travel agent myself, I knew from my research into this trip and the recommendations of a few of my customers, that we could not come to Egypt and miss Alexandria. My friends and I booked this tour hoping we'd get a quick tour of Alexandria as it was not in the itinerary for the bigger extended tour we had previously booked for the rest of our trip. Boy oh boy, did we see more than was promised! Our Guide Hany, was unbelievably knowledgeable about the city and was very accommodating about the amount of time we wanted to spend in each of the four spots we visited. The lunch spot was fantastic, and we all walked away quite full, not needing to eat until late in Cairo that night. We had no idea that our tour also took us to Giza to learn how some of the most popular products in Egypt were made and we were blown away by the craftsmanship and quality of the products we bought, namely our essential oils, papyrus and metal work. I will definitely be booking this tour for my own clients in the future who wish to explore Alexandria and are short on time to stay longer in the city. Ali our tour guide made the experience great. He was very knowledgeable, funny, and accommodating. He was byfar the best guide we have had. Maaannngggooo!
