Quebec City & Montmorency Falls: Grand Day Trip from Montreal

Definitely worth doing! Especially if you haven’t been to Quebec before or Quebec City! This is an amazing day experience and you will have an amazing two guides one driving the bus and one on a walking tour. Worth the money!

It was great! We were conveniently picked up, and left on time. The driver was really good at explaining everything clearly while giving us history along the way. After arriving in Quebec City, our guide took over informing us about Quebec’s history. We went to the falls, then came back for free time. I was so impressed how everything was smoothly condensed into a day.

I think this trip is worth it, but beware. If you are getting hotel pick up, you have to confirm that 24 hours in advance. And your ticket doesn’t tell you that. I saw it in the app at midnight and we were supposed to be picked up at 8:00. Thankfully I messaged someone and they wrote back saying we were to be in the lobby at 7:30! Our driver and tour guide were great. Gonna get Covid after this ride. People sneezing, coughing, hacking and watching their movies LOUDLY with no headphones. Bring your headphones. And, follow the drivers advice. Be on time. 99.9 percent of us were on time, but one lady missed the bus. We had to turn around and go back and get her. One hour delay! Anyway…. Lovely day.

The tour is really good, the driver is very helpful and friendly. The guide also very informative and friendly. They manage time quite efficiently and on time. It might be a bit of a shot time spending at the waterfall, but that’s reasonable and we got a lots of time to look around in the old quebec area. It’s a wonderful day in quebec with this tour.

Bus trip started 30 minutes late waiting on one couple. The rest stop they use for halfway point had DISGUSTING bathrooms, with clogged toilets and literally flooded floor. The tour also wastes time with an initial stop in old town for 30 minutes, then takes you to the falls for 30 minutes then drops you off again in old town. Feels like we lost an hour just unloading & loading bus for the short visits. Seems like a better use of time to do the falls visit first then just one stop in old town.

Some of the reviews I read before booking. The store said that there was not enough time at the two locations I didn’t find this true at all, though for those who had wanted to hike to the top of the fall, there wasn’t enough time for that, but there was plenty of time to walk to the Falls and back from below, and I got some great photos. In Quebec city there was a short walking tour of the old town and then three hours to explore and have lunch. I had a leisurely lunch and walked to the front and neck and still had plenty of time to do some solo exploring and photography some said skip the tour and do it on your own, but I had friends who were there at the same time who chose to do that by taking the train and the travel time was not any shorter – three hours there and three hours back. The ease of having a driver and a guide, made it so much more relaxed for me. I would recommend this trip to anyone who’s visiting Quebec city from Montreal.

Comfortable charter bus for a 3 hour ride to Quebec City where we were we met by an amazing bilingual guide. Well paced and informative. It was a highlight of our trip to Montreal.

Lots of bus time. Time in Quebec city poorly organized because lower town not very interesting , having to start free time there poor choice.
